Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini karena adanya kebutuhan peserta didik sekolah dasar
akan hadirnya media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif supaya dapat
menunjang pada saat kegiatan proses pembelajaran. Dalam penyampaian materi
khususnya mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) merupakan materi yang
cenderung kompleks dan abstrak untuk peserta didik tingkat sekolah dasar,
sehingga dalam mempelajari materi IPA dibutuhkan pemahaman yang sangat
mendalam. Salah satu materinya yaitu siklus air. Mata pelajaran IPA khususnya
materi siklus air, diperlukan media pembelajaran agar peserta didik dapat memiliki
akses informasi dengan mudah, dan jelas untuk dipahami. Media yang digunakan
sebaiknya disesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta didik dan tahap berpikir siswa
yaitu tahap berpikir secara konkret. Karakteristik peserta didik yaitu senang dan
mudah memahami materi ketika media yang digunakan bersifat konkret dan
interaktif supaya membangun rasa semangat belajar peserta didik. Oleh karena itu,
diperlukan solusi agar materi IPA dapat tersampaikan secara jelas dan menarik.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk merancang dan mengembangkan media
pembelajaran flipbook pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas V materi siklus air. Metode
yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode Design and Development dengan
desain penelitian ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation and
evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara,
angket ahli dan angket respons pengguna. Partisipan penelitian ini melibatkan ahli
yaitu ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa sebagai validator serta pengguna yaitu
guru dan 15 peserta didik kelas v untuk memberikan respons terhadap
pengembangan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan dari para
ahli sebesar 97% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak” dan mendapatkan respons
penilaian dari pengguna sebesar 99% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”.
Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran
flipbook pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas V materi siklus air sudah layak untuk
digunakan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar :
The background of this research is due to the need for elementary school students
for the presence of interesting and interactive learning media in order to support the
learning process activities. In the delivery of material, especially Natural Sciences
(Science) subjects are materials that tend to be complex and abstract for elementary
school level students, so that in learning science material requires a very deep
understanding. One of the materials is the water cycle. Science subjects, especially
water cycle material, are needed learning media so that students can have access to
information easily, and clearly to understand. The media used should be adjusted to
the characteristics of students and the stage of student thinking, namely the stage of
thinking concretely. The characteristics of students are happy and easy to
understand the material when the media used is concrete and interactive in order to
build a sense of enthusiasm for learning students. Therefore, a solution is needed so
that the science material can be conveyed clearly and attractively. The purpose of
this study is to design and develop flipbook learning media in class V science
subjects water cycle material. The method used in this study is the Design and
Development method with ADDIE research design (analysis, design, development,
implementation and evaluation). The data collection techniques used are
observation, interviews, expert questionnaires and user response questionnaires.
The participants of this study involved experts, namely media experts, material
experts, and linguists as validators as well as users, namely teachers and 15 class v
students to respond to media development. The results showed a feasibility rate
from experts of 97% with the category "Very Decent" and received a response rating
from users of 99% with the category "Very Decent". Based on this research, it can
be concluded that flipbook learning media in class V science subjects water cycle
material is suitable for use in teaching and learning activities.
