Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Riko the Series terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa sekolah dasar pada materi siklus air. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan kuasi eksperimen sebagai metode penelitiannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group, yang melibatkan pengujian Pretest sebelum perlakuan dan pengujian Posttest setelah perlakuan di setiap kelompok. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD yang terakreditasi A Se-Kecamatan Sumedang Selatan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan sampel 31 siswa kelas IV A SD Negeri Sukaraja 1 dan 31 siswa kelas IV B SD Negeri Sukaraja 1. Hasil analilisis menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dengan kategori sedang dari pembelajaran menggunakan animasi Riko the Series terhadap pemahaman konsep siklus air pada siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Selanjutnya, ditemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dengan kategori rendah dari pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan animasi Riko the Series terhadap pemahaman konsep siklus Air pada siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Dan terakhir didapatkan hasil bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari pembelajaran menggunakan animasi Riko the Series dengan pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan animasi Riko the Series terhadap pemahaman konsep siklus air pada siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. This research aims to determine the effect of Riko the Series on elementary school students' understanding of the concept of the water cycle. It employs a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental design as the research method. The study utilizes the Nonequivalent Control Group design, involving Pretest before treatment and Posttest after treatment in each group. The population in this research is all fourth-grade students of an A-accredited elementary school in South Sumedang Subdistrict. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with a sample of 31 students from class IV A of Sukaraja 1 Elementary School and 31 students from class IV B of Sukaraja 1 Elementary School. The results of the analysis indicate a significant effect with a moderate category of learning using Riko the Series animation on the understanding of the water cycle concept among fourth-grade elementary school students. Furthermore, it is found that there is a significant effect with a low category from learning without using Riko the Series animation on the understanding of the water cycle concept among fourth-grade elementary school students. Lastly, the result shows that there is no significant effect from learning using Riko the Series animation compared to learning without using Riko the Series animation on the understanding of the water cycle concept among fourth-grade elementary school students.
