Abstract

Rasa percaya diri sangat penting bagi siswa saat belajar sehingga mereka dapat memotivasi diri untuk berhasil dan memiliki keyakinan yang kuat untuk mencapai potensi terbaiknya. Jika siswa tidak memiliki rasa percaya diri yang cukup, hal ini dapat menghalangi mereka untuk berinteraksi dengan baik selama proses pembelajaran dan menjadi hambatan dalam proses pembelajaran IPA. Pelajaran IPA tidak hanya belajar terkait teori saja, melainkan diperlukan suatu pengamatan atau praktikum. Dalam proses pembelajaran metode yang digunakan memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap motivasi siswa untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri. Metode ceramah masih mendominasi,dengan metode ini siswa cenderung pasif dalam proses pembelajaran dan tidak dapat mengembangkan rasa percaya dirinya.Pada saat pembelajaran IPA, sebaiknya siswa diajak untuk terlibat dalam kegiatan praktikum guna mengembangkan keterampilan berbicara di hadapan umum dan membantu siswa merasa lebih percaya diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat implementasi serta kemunculan rasa percaya diri siswa saat melakukan praktikum. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Narrative Inquiry. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu, observasi,wawancara,dokumentasi,catatan lapangan dan story telling. Instrument yang digunakan berupa alat rekaman dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rasa percaya diri siswa tercermin dalam keberanian mereka untuk menyampaikan pemahaman tentang persepsi inderawi kepada orang lain tidak hanya itu siswa juga aktif bertanya dan menjawab. Keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam praktikum sangat penting untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kepercayaan diri mereka dalam konsep inderawi. Siswa dapat merasa lebih percaya diri karena memiliki peran penting dalam proses pembelajaran dan juga dapat merasa lebih percaya diri karena memiliki pengalaman langsung dengan materi pelajaran. Self-confidence is very important for students when learning so that they can motivate themselves to succeed and have strong beliefs to achieve their best potential. If students do not have enough confidence, this can prevent them from interacting well during the learning process and become an obstacle in the science learning process. Science lessons are not only learning related to theory, but an observation or practicum is needed. In the learning process, the method used has a significant impact on student motivation to increase self-confidence. The lecture method still dominates, with this method students tend to be passive in the learning process and cannot develop their self-confidence. During science learning, students should be invited to engage in practical activities to develop public speaking skills and help students feel more confident. This study aims to see the implementation and emergence of students' self-confidence when doing practicum. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with the Narrative Inquiry method. This study uses data collection techniques, namely, observation, interviews, documentation, field notes and story telling. The instruments used are recording tools and interviews. The result of this research is that students' confidence is reflected in their courage to convey their understanding of sensory perception to others, not only that students also actively ask and answer. Students' active involvement in practicum is very important to improve their understanding and confidence in sensory concepts. Students can feel more confident because they have an important role in the learning process and can also feel more confident because they have direct experience with the subject matter.
