Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta dilapangan serta hasil kajian literatur mengenai kondisi minat baca siswa sekolah dasar yang masih rendah. Salah satu faktor penyebab rendahnya minat baca siswa yakni adanya kebutuhan siswa dalam membaca yang berbeda yang belum dapat difasilitasi dengan sepenuhnya dalam kegiatan literasi. Melihat kondisi tersebut, diperlukan upaya yang dapat memaksimalkan kebutuhan siswa dalam membaca, untuk itu salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu melalui praktik differentiated literacy instruction. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan perbedaan dari praktik differentiated literacy instruction dalam gerakan literasi sekolah terhadap minat baca siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian the matching-only pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas V di SDN Lokasari 02 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa kelas V di SDN Hegarmanah 01 sebagai kelas kontrol. Analisis data dilakukan melalui deskriptif data, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji perbedaan rerata uji-T. Hasil analisis data pada kelas eksperimen menunjukan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 74,40 dan posttest sebesar 84,97 dengan selisih sebesar 10,57 hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh minat baca siswa yang menerima praktik differentiated literacy instruction. Sementara nilai rata-rata posttest di kelas eksperimen yakni sebesar 84,97 dan posttest dikelas kontrol sebesar 76,57 dengan selisih nilai sebesar 8,4 hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan minat baca yang signifikan antara siswa yang menerima praktik differentiated literacy instruction dengan siswa yang tidak menerima praktik differentiated literacy instruction di sekolah dasar. --------- This research is motivated by facts in the field as well as the results of a literature review regarding the condition of elementary school students' low reading interest. One of the factors causing students' low r reading interest \s that students have different reading needs that cannot be fully facilitated in literacy activities. Seeing these conditions, efforts are needed that can maximize students' reading needs, for this reason one of the efforts that can be made is through the practice of differentiated literacy instruction. The aim of this research is to determine the influence and differences of differentiated literacy instruction practices in the school literacy movement on elementary school students' reading interest. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a matched-only pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study was 30 class V students at SDN Lokasari 02 as the experimental class and 30 class V students at SDN Hegarmanah 01 as the control class. Data analysis was carried out through descriptive data, normality test, homogeneity test, and T-test. The results of data analysis in the experimental class showed an average pretest score of 74.40 and posttest of 84.97 with a difference of 10.57. This shows that there is a influence in reading interest in students who receive the practice of differentiated literacy instruction. Meanwhile, the average posttest score in the experimental class was 84.97 and the posttest in the control class was 76.57 with a score difference of 8.4. This shows that their difference in reading interest is a significant reading between students who received differentiated literacy instruction practices and students who do not accept the practice of differentiated literacy instruction in elementary school.
