Abstract

Penguasaan kosakata dalam pembelajaran BIPA menjadi landasan utama untuk mencapai komunikasi yang efektif, khususnya dalam kebutuhan bertahan hidup para handai di Indonesia. Kamus, sebagai sumber referensi, dapat membantu para handai di Indonesia memahami arti kata-kata dalam bahasa Indonesia pada tempat atau situasi tertentu yang dibutuhkannya. Namun, kurangnya kamus yang disesuaikan dengan tempat atau situasi kebutuhan sintas para handai Indonesia tersebut menjadi sebuah tantangan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kamus BIPA Tematik Kesintasan berbasis pendekatan komunikatif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sintas para handai Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian R&D dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri atas lima tahap penelitian yaitu analisis, desain atau rancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa transportasi umum menjadi tempat atau situasi yang paling banyak dibutuhkan handai Indonesia dalam hal kesintasan di Indonesia. Rancangan awal kamus dilakukan berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan dengan pengembangan lema kesintasan tema transportasi berbantuan aplikasi digital Android dengan fitur gambar, percakapan, dan suara. Hasil pengembangan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kamus BIPA tematik kesintasan memperoleh predikat sangat baik dari validator ahli leksikografi dengan persentase penilaian sebesar 82%, predikat baik dari validator ahli BIPA sebesar 71.25% dan predikat sangat baik dari validator ahli media sebesar 88%. Predikat sangat baik juga berhasil diperoleh kamus ini dari hasil permintaan respons pengguna dengan persentase penilaian 89%. Hasil tersebut menyatakan bahwa kamus BIPA tematik kesintasan ini layak digunakan serta membantu para handai Indonesia memenuhi kebutuhan sintas komunikasi saat menggunakan transportasi umum di Indonesia. Mastery of vocabulary in BIPA learning is the main foundation for achieving effective communication, especially in the survival needs of handai in Indonesia. Dictionary, as a reference source, can help handai in Indonesia understand the meaning of words in Indonesian in certain places or situations that they need. However, the lack of dictionary that is adapted to the location or situation of the survival needs of handai Indonesia is a challenge. Therefore, this research aims to develop a Survival Thematic BIPA Dictionary based on a communicative approach to meet the survival needs of handai Indonesia. This research uses the R&D research method with the ADDIE model namely needs analysis, design, development (product validation and revision), implementation, and evaluation. Needs analysis shows that public transportation is the place or situation that is most needed by handai Indonesia in terms of survival in Indonesia. The initial design of the dictionary was carried out based on the results of a needs analysis with the development of transportation survival theme vocabulary assisted with an Android digital application with image, conversation and sound features. The results of this research development show that the survival thematic BIPA dictionary received a very good predicate from lexicography expert validator with an assessment percentage of 82%, a good predicate from BIPA expert validator of 71.25% and a very good predicate from media expert validator of 88%. This dictionary also managed to obtain a very good predicate from the results of user response requests with an assessment percentage of 89%. These results state that the survival thematic BIPA dictionary is suitable for use and helps handai Indonesian meet their communication survival needs when using public transportation in Indonesia.
