Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi begitu cepat sehingga mempengaruhi gaya hidup dan perilaku kehidupan yang lebih modern daripada sebelumnya. Dengan perkembangan tersebut menghasilkan fenomena penggunaan smartphone secara berlebihan yang disebut dengan phubbing. Individu yang lebih fokus dengan smartphone daripada memerhatikan orang lain ketika sedang berinteraksi disebut “phubber” dan orang yang menerima perilaku tersebut disebut “phubbee(s)” Phubbing dapat disimpulkan sebagai perilaku yang cenderung lebih aktif di dunia maya sehingga seringkali mengabaikan interaksi di dunia nyata yang dapat menyebabkan yang menerima phubbing (korban) merasakan kerugian, seperti merasa diabaikan, dikucilkan, dan tidak dihargai. Hal ini memberikan gambaran kecenderungan phubbing serta merumuskan layanan bimbingan dan konseling pribadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif melalui pendekatan kuantitatif. Partisipan penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI SMAN di Kabupaten Bandung dengan sampel 526 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Generic Scale of Phubbing (GSP) dan Generic Scale of Being Phubbed (GSBP) dengan pilihan jawaban 1-7. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 100% siswa melakukan phubbing dan 99,9% siswa menjadi korban phubbing. Tingkat skala yang paling tinggi pada pelaku dan korban phubbing berdasarkan jenis kelamin berada pada kelompok perempuan, pelaku phubbing berdasarkan sekolah adalah kelompok SMAN 1 Cicalengka sedangkan korban SMAN 1 Cicalengka dan SMAN 1 Dayeuh Kolot, phubbing berdasarkan penggunaan smartphone berada pada kategori sedang menuju ringan sedangkan korban phubbing berada pada kategori sedang menuju berat. Penelitian ini menghasilkan layanan bimbingan dan konseling pribadi yang dapat diimplementasikan guru bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah. The development of technology and information has rapidly influenced a more modern lifestyle and behavior than ever before. This development has resulted in the phenomenon of overuse of smartphone, which is called phubbing. The person engaging with smartphone instead of paying attention to another person during a social interaction is called a “phubber”, while the person(s) who is/are being phubbed during the social interaction is called the “phubbee(s)”. Phubbing behavior tends to be more active in the virtual world, so it often ignores interactions in the real world, which can cause the recipient of phubbing behavior (the victim) to feel losses, such as feeling ignored, excluded, and unappreciated. This provides an overview of the tendency of phubbing behavior and formulates personal guidance and counseling services. This research uses a descriptive method through a quantitative approach. The participants of this study were class XI students of SMAN in Bandung Regency with a sample of 526 people. The instruments used were the Generic Scale of Phubbing (GSP) and the Generic Scale of Being Phubbed (GSBP) with answer choices 1-7. The results of this study show that 100% of students engage in phubbing behavior and 99.9% of students are victims of phubbing. The highest level of scale for perpetrators and victims of phubbing based on gender is in the female group, perpetrators of phubbing based on school are the SMAN 1 Cicalengka, while victims are SMAN 1 Cicalengka and SMAN 1 Dayeuh Kolot, phubbing behavior based on smartphone use is in the moderate to light category, while victims are in the moderate to severe category. This research resulted in personal guidance and counseling services that can be implemented by guidance and counseling teachers in schools.
