Abstract

Salah satu norma yang wajib dipedomani dan dikembangkan oleh mahasiswa dalam konteks pendidikan adalah kejujuran. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi kecurangan akademik adalah kontrol diri. Mahasiswa harus mampu menjadi pengontrol untuk orang di sekitarnya terutama dirinya sendiri, sehingga mahasiswa harus memiliki kontrol diri yang baik pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kontrol diri dengan kecurangan akademik pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Angkatan 2020. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan desain korelasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling (purposive sampling). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 265 responden. Data didapatkan melalui kuesioner yang diolah menggunakan Pearson Product Moment dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar - 0,169 dan nilai sig. (1-tailed) sebesar 0,003. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) secara umum kontrol diri mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi; (2) sedangkan kecurangan akademik berada pada kategori tidak curang; (3) terdapat hubungan yang lemah, arah negatif, serta signifikan antara kontrol diri dengan kecurangan akademik pada mahasiswa; (4) rancangan layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang disusun bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kontrol diri mahasiswa dengan layanan bimbingan kelompok. Rekomendasi penelitian ditujukan untuk Dosen Pembimbing Akademik, FIP UPI dan peneliti selanjutnya. Honesty is one of the norms that students must follow and develop in the educational context. One of the factors that influences academic dishonesty is self-control. Students must being able to control the people around them, especially themselves, so students must also have good self-control. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-control and academic dishonesty in students at the Faculty of Education Science, Indonesia University of Education Class of 2020. The approach used in this research is quantitative with descriptive methods and correlation designs. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling (purposive sampling). The research sample consisted of 265 respondents. The data was obtained by distributing questionnaires which were processed using Pearson Product Moment with a correlation coefficient of -0,169 and a sig. (1-tailed) of 0,003. The results showed: (1) in general, students' self-control is in the high category; (2) while academic cheating is in the non cheating category; (3) there is a weak, negative, and significant relationship between self-control and academic dishonesty in students; (4) the design of the guidance and counseling services prepared aims to increase student self-control with group guidance services. Research recommendations are intended for academic advisor, UPI FIP and future researchers.
