Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi pembagian bilangan cacah. Hal ini terjadi akibat proses pembelajaran matematika di kelas hanya mengandalkan bahan ajar berupa buku cetak yang menimbulkan sulitnya siswa dalam menguasai konsep pembagian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan CPA untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi pembagian kelas III sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Design and Development (D&D) dengan model penelitian PPE (Planning, Production, and Evaluation) yang dikembangkan oleh Richey dan Klein. Temuan pada penelitian ini adalah: 1) Desain awal pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan CPA menghasilkan tujuan pembelajaran dan gambaran isi bahan ajar yang disesuaikan dengan pendekatan CPA. 2) Hasil penilaian validasi dari para ahli menyatakan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan CPA berada pada kategori sangat layak dengan persentase masing-masing adalah 85% dan 96,3%. 3) Produk akhir bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan CPA materi pembagian dikatakan sangat layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Hal tersebut didukung berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test yang menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi pembagian setelah dilakukan implementasi dan uji coba terbatas keterbacaan bahan ajar pembagian dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test 31,6 dan rata-rata nilai post-test 78. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan CPA untuk materi pembagian berada pada kategori sangat layak digunakan sebagai upaya meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. ; This research is motivated by the low ability of students to understand the concept of whole number division. This occurs as a result of the mathematics learning process in class relying only on teaching materials in the form of printed books, which makes it difficult for students to master the concept of division. This research aims to develop teaching materials based on the CPA approach to increase students' understanding of concepts in class III elementary school division material. The research method used in this research is the Design and Development (D&D) method, following the PPE (Planning, Production, and Evaluation) research model developed by Richey and Klein. The findings of this research are: 1) The initial design for developing teaching materials based on the CPA approach produces learning objectives and descriptions of the content of teaching materials that are adapted to the CPA approach. 2) The results of the validation assessment from experts stated that the development of teaching materials based on the CPA approach was in the very feasible category with respective percentages of 85% and 96,3%. 3) The final product of teaching materials based on the CPA approach, division materials, is said to be very suitable for use in mathematics learning in elementary schools. This is supported based on the results of the pre-test and post-test which show an increase in students' ability to understand concepts in the division material after implementation and limited trials on the readability of the division teaching material with an average pre-test score of 31,6 and an average score of post-test 78. This research concludes that the development of teaching materials based on the CPA approach for division material is in the category of very suitable for use as an effort to increase students' understanding of concepts.
