Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh parasocial interaction terhadap perilaku konsumtif pada penggemar boyband Seventeen di Kota Bandung. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan non-probability sampling dengan teknik accidental. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 604 orang yang merupakan penggemar Seventeen di Kota Bandung. Instrument parasocial interaction yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan teori Stever (2013) dan instrumen perilaku konsumtif disusun berdasarkan teori Fromm (1995). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan pada parasocial interaction terhadap perilaku konsumtif penggemar boyband Seventeen di Kota Bandung. This research aims to determine the influence of parasocial interaction on consumptive behavior among fans of boyband Seventeen in Bandung city. This research employs a quantitative approach and utilizes non-probability sampling with an accidental respondent technique. The subjects in this research were 604 people who were Seventeen fans in Bandung city. The parasocial interaction instrument used in this research was prepared based on Stever's (2013) theory and the consumer behavior instrument was prepared based on Fromm's (1995) theory. The data analysis technique used was simple linear regression analysis. The research results indicate a significant positive influence of parasocial interaction on consumptive behavior among fans of the boyband Seventeen in Bandung city.
