Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya upaya sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh pihak Perpustakaan Bank Indonesia Jawa Barat terkait penggunaan aplikasi iBI Library. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan aplikasi iBI Library dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka berdasarkan teori Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) dan pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 6 orang, diantaranya pengembang aplikasi iBI Library, pustakawan, asisten pustakawan dan pemustaka. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kemudahan penggunaan dari aplikasi iBI Library yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah mudah dipelajari (easy to learn), dapat dikontrol (controllable), jelas dan dapat dipahami (clear & understandable), fleksibel (flexible), mudah digunakan (easy to use). Namun, indikator mudah untuk menjadi terampil/ mahir (easy to become skillful) belum sepenuhnya mudah digunakan oleh pengguna. Kebermanfaatan dari aplikasi iBI Library yang dipenuhi aplikasi iBI Library adalah mempercepat pekerjaan (work more quickly), meningkatkan kinerja (improve job performance), meningkatkan produktivitas (increase productivity), efektivitas (effectiveness), mempermudah pekerjaan (make job easier), dan bermanfaat (useful). Selain itu, jenis kebutuhan informasi aplikasi iBI Library yang dipenuhi aplikasi iBI Library adalah kebutuhan kognitif (cognitive needs), kebutuhan afektif (affective needs), kebutuhan integrasi personal (personal integrative needs), kebutuhan integrasi sosial (social integrative needs), dan kebutuhan berkhayal (escapist needs). Hambatan yang ditemukan bahwa pengguna masih kesulitan dalam menguasai fitur-fitur dalam aplikasi karena kurangnya sosialisasi dari Perpustakaan Bank Indonesia terkait penggunaan aplikasi tersebut. Sehingga perlu adanya sosialisasi dari perpustakaan Bank Indonesia. Kata Kunci: iBI Library, kebutuhan informasi, pengguna, perpustakaan digital, TAM This research was motivated by the lack of outreach efforts carried out by the West Java Bank Indonesia Library regarding the use of the iBI Library application. The aim of this research is to describe the use of the iBI Library application in fulfilling the information needs of users based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory and fulfilling the information needs of users using descriptive methods with a qualitative approach. The informants in this research were 6 people, including the iBI Library application developer, librarian, assistant librarian and user. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation studies. The results of this research are that the ease of use of the iBI Library application found in this research is easy to learn, controllable, clear and understandable, flexible, easy to use. to use). However, the easy to become skillful indicator is not yet completely easy for users to use. The benefits of the iBI Library application which is filled with the iBI Library application are speeding up work (work more quickly), improving performance (improving job performance), increasing productivity (increase productivity), effectiveness (effectiveness), making work easier (make job easier), and useful ( useful). Apart from that, the types of information needs that the iBI Library application fulfills are cognitive needs, affective needs, personal integrative needs, social integrative needs, and fantasy needs. The obstacle found was that users still had difficulty mastering the features in the application due to a lack of socialization from the Bank Indonesia Library regarding the use of the application.
