Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh terjadinya peningkatan akses terhadap penggunaan internet oleh masyarakat terutama dari kalangan pelajar dan mahasiswa. Peningkatan tersebut berdampak terhadap meningkatnya akses terhadap sumber informasi yang tersedia di internet termasuk Perpustakaan Digital Universitas Terbuka. Terjadinya peningkatan ini menimbulkan masalah baru yaitu mengenai kualitas informasi yang diakses sehingga diperlukan kemampuan khusus untuk memilih dan memilah informasi yaitu literasi digital. Dalam mencari informasi digital, mahasiswa dapat menemukan berbagai jenis informasi dan perlu melalui tahapan pencarian informasi agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan informasinya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa dengan pemanfaatan koleksi Perpustakaan Digital Universitas Terbuka dan secara khusus untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi digital pada Mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka dengan menggunakan indikator information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, safety, problem solving dan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan koleksi Perpustakaan Digital pada Mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka yang digambarkan dalam model Information Search Process. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dan pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket kuesioner. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan Mahasiswa aktif UPBJJ-UT Bandung yang memiliki akses layanan e-resources Perpustakaan Digital UT. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 86 orang dengan menggunakan simple random sampling dan uji hipotesis dengan Spearman Rank. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan koefisien korelasi 0,633 yang berarti terdapat korelasi yang kuat. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kuat dan signifikan antara kemampuan literasi dengan pemanfaatan koleksi perpustakaan digital, secara khusus hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan gambaran kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka sangat baik dan pemanfaatan koleksi perpustakaan digital oleh Mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka berada pada kategori sangat baik. ; This research is motivated by the increase of internet usage by the public, especially among students. This event also has an impact on increasing access to information sources on the internet, including the Indonesia Open University Digital Library. This may raises new problems, as of the quality of information accessed. In order to select and sort information correctly, digital literacy skills were required. When searching for information in digital libraries, students may find various types of information and need to go through stages of information search in order to meet their information needs. The general objective of this research is to determine the relationship between students' digital literacy skills and the use of the Indonesia Open University's digital library collections, and the specific objective is to determine the digital literacy skills among students using indicators of information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, safety, problem solving, and the use of digital library collections by the students, which are described in the Information Search Process model. This research is correlational research with data collection using questionnaires. Participants in this research are active students who have access to the UT Digital Library e-resources services. The sample of this research was 86 people using simple random sampling and hypothesis testing with Spearman Rank. The correlation test results show a correlation coefficient of 0.633, which means there is a strong correlation. The results show that there is a strong and significant relationship between literacy skills and the use of digital library collections. In particular, the results of this research show that the digital literacy skills among students are very good, and the use of digital library collections by the students is in the very good category.
