Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian TIMSS (Trends Internasional Mathematics and Science Study) pada tahun 2011 dengan berbagai soal yang mencakup Logical Thinking, Indonesia berada pada posisi rendah. Logical thinking merupakan kemampuan yang cukup penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja akademik siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengimplementasikan Roun Robin Brainstorming pada multimedia dengan model Discovery Learning untuk meningkatkan Logical Thinking siswa sebagai salah satu pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D dengan model pengembangan multimedia ADDIE meliputi lima tahap esensial: analyze, design, develop, implement dan evaluate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kemampuan Logical Thinking siswa, pada indikator “Keruntutan Berpikir” sebesar 39,1%, “Kemampuan Berargumen” sebesar 35,1%, dan “Penarikan Kesimpulan” sebesar 36,6% dengan masing-masing indikator mendapatkan kategori “Sedang”. Kemudian, hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap media pembalajaran yang diterapkan pada penelitian mendapat nilai rata-rata 85,3% berkategori sangat baik. Maka dampak dari penelitian memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan Logical Thinking. Based on the TIMSS (Trends Internasional Mathematics and Science Study) results at 2011 with various questions that include logical thinking, Indonesia is in a low position. Logical thinking is an important ability in improving students' academic performance. The aim of this research is to implement roun robin brainstorming in multimedia with a discovery learning model to improve students' logical thinking as a way to solve problems. The research method used is R&D with the ADDIE multimedia development model including five essential stages: analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate. The research results showed an increase in students' logical thinking abilities, on the "Thinking Disorders" indicator of 39.1%, "Argument Ability" of 35.1%, and "Conclusion Drawing" of 36.6% with each indicator getting the "Medium" category. The research design applied was One Group Pretest Posttest with Object Oriented Programming learning material for vocational school students majoring in software engineering. Then, the results of students' responses to the learning media applied in the research received an average score of 94% in the very good category. So the impact of research has a significant influence on increasing Logical Thinking abilities
