Abstract

Kawasan Bandung Utara (KBU) mengalami degradasi lingkungan akibat konversi lahan hijau menjadi lahan terbangun, terjadinya degradasi lingkungan tidak semata-mata akibat pemanfaatan alam secara intensif untuk menopang kehidupan manusia, namun juga masalah moral dan etika. Pendekatan ekopedagogis dalam pembelajaran geografi dapat menjadi salah satu upaya untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran, pemahaman, sikap, keterampilan dan partisipasi aktif peserta didik di KBU dalam upaya melestarikan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis penerapan pendekatan ekopedagogis dalam pembelajaran geografi, menganalisis tingkat kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik, dan menganalisis pengaruh antara pendekatan ekopedagogis dalam pembelajaran geografi terhadap tingkat kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik SMA Negeri di KBU. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah survei eksplanatori pada 12 SMA Negeri di KBU dengan pendekatan campuran dengan model sequential explanatory. Hasil penelitian ini: (1) Implementasi pendekatan ekopedagogis dalam pembelajaran geografi di 12 SMA Negeri di KBU tergolong ke dalam kategori tinggi (1.86), (2) Tingkat kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik 12 SMA Negeri di KBU tergolong ke dalam kategori tinggi (1.81). (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif antara pendekatan ekopedagogis dalam pembelajaran geografi terhadap tingkat kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik SMA Negeri di KBU, dengan persentase determinasi 18,3%. Rendahnya pengaruh antara pendekatan ekopedagogis dalam pembelajaran geografi terhadap kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik, salah satunya dikarenakan guru jarang melakukan pembelajaran di lapangan untuk mengenalkan masalah, dampak dan solusi atas permasalahan lingkungan yang terjadi di KBU. Direkomendasikan kepada guru agar terus mengimplementasikan pendekatan ekopedagogis dalam pembelajaran geografi terutama mengenalkan secara langsung dan kritis atas isu-isu permasalahan lingkungan di KBU. The North Bandung Area (KBU) is experiencing environmental degradation due to the conversion of green land into built-up land. Environmental degradation is not solely a result of intensive use of nature to support human life, but is also a moral and ethical issue. An ecopedagogical approach in learning geography can be an effort to foster awareness, understanding, attitudes, skills and active participation of students at KBU in efforts to preserve the environment. The aim of this research is to analyze the application of the ecopedagogical approach in geography learning, analyze the level of ecological intelligence of students, and analyze the influence of the ecopedagogical approach in geography learning on the level of ecological intelligence of State High School students in KBU. The method used in this research is an explanatory survey at 12 public high schools in KBU with a mixed approach with a sequential explanatory model. The results of this research: (1) The implementation of the ecopedagogical approach in geography learning in 12 public high schools in KBU is classified as high (1.86), (2) The level of ecological intelligence of students in 12 public high schools in KBU is classified as high (1.81). (3) There is a positive influence between the ecopedagogical approach in geography learning on the level of ecological intelligence of State High School students in KBU, with a determination percentage of 18.3%. The low influence of the ecopedagogical approach in geography learning on students' ecological intelligence is partly because teachers rarely carry out lessons in the field to introduce problems, impacts and solutions to environmental problems that occur in KBU. It is recommended that teachers continue to implement an ecopedagogical approach in geography learning, especially introducing directly and critically environmental issues in KBU.
