Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus untuk menggambarkan derskripsi toilet training anak usia toddler 1-3 tahun pada orang tua di Desa Warnajati. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) mendeskripsikan bagaimana tingkat pengetahuan ibu mengenai tanda anak siap secara fisik melakukan toilet training. (2) mengetahui keterampilan ibu untuk melatih anak dalam pelaksanaan toilet training, (3) mengetahui berapa lama waktu yang dibutuhkan dalam pelaksanaan toilet training. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu, bapak dan kakak yang diambil datanya melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode reduksi data guna memilah data yang penting untuk disajikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, (1) tingkat pengetahuan dalam pelaksanaan toilet training yaitu ibu sudang mengetahui ekspresi anak jika menahan buang air, tidak buang air dipopok saat ,malam hari, (2) tingkat keterampilan ibu dalam melatih anak melaksanakan toilet training, ibu melatih anak agar dapat memahami perintah sederhana, anak mampu duduk dan berjalan dengan lancar, menunjukan cara memakai toilet, melatih anak untuk memberitahu jika ingin pergi ke toilet, (3) waktu yang dibutuhkan dalam pelaksanaan toilet training tiga hari, hari pertama mengawasi anak saat menunjukan ingin buang air, hari kedua dan ketiga belajar untuk buang air di toilet umum dan membawa baju ganti yang banyak. This study focuses on describing the description of toilet training for toddler children aged 1-3 years in parents in Warnajati Village. The purpose of this study is to (1) describe how the level of knowledge of mothers about the signs of children physically ready to do toilet training. (2) knowing the skills of mothers to train children in the implementation of toilet training, (3) knowing how long it takes to implement toilet training. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Participants in this study were mothers, fathers and brothers whose data were taken through interviews, observations and documentation studies. Data analysis uses data reduction methods to sort out the data that is important to present. The results showed that, (1) the level of knowledge in the implementation of toilet training, namely the mother knows the child's expression if she resists defecation, does not defecate at night, (2) the level of mother's skill in training the child to carry out toilet training, the mother trains the child to understand simple commands, the child is able to sit and walk smoothly, shows how to use the toilet, train children to tell if they want to go to the toilet, (3) the time needed in the implementation of toilet training three days, the first day watching the child when showing that they want to relieve themselves, the second and third days learning to defecate in public toilets and bring a lot of change of clothes.
