Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah menurunnya konsentrasi belajar IPS peserta didik di SMP Aisyiyah Boarding School Bandung. Permasalahan tersebut berdasarkan hasil pengamatan bahwa selama ini guru selalu menekankan teori terus-menerus. Guru perlu mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kembali gairah belajar peserta didik yaitu dengan ice breaking salah satunya ice breaking senam otak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil dari pengaruh ice breaking senam otak terhadap konsentrasi belajar IPS peserta didik di SMP Aisyiyah Boarding School Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan model one group pretest posttest. Sampel yang digunakan adalah dari seluruh populasi yang berjumlah 62 orang responden. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t dengan teknik Paired Samples Test menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig(2-tailed) 0,000 lebih kecil dari nilai α = 0,05, artinya H0 ditolak sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan konsentrasi belajar IPS peserta didik setelah diberikan treatment metode ice breaking senam otak. Kata Kunci : Konsentrasi Belajar, Pembelajaran IPS, Ice Breaking Senam Otak The problem in this study is the decline in the concentration of social studies learning students at SMP Aisyiyah Boarding School Bandung. This problem is based on the observation that so far teachers have always emphasized theory continuously. Teachers need to overcome these problems by applying learning models that can increase students' learning enthusiasm again, namely by ice breaking, one of which is ice breaking brain gymnastics. This study aims to determine the results of the effect of ice breaking brain gymnastics on the concentration of social studies learning of students at SMP Aisyiyah Boarding School Bandung. This study used descriptive quantitative methods with a one group pretest posttest model. The sample used was from the entire population of 62 respondents. Based on the results of the t-test with the Paired Samples Test technique, it shows that the value of sig (2-tailed) 0.000 is smaller than the value of α = 0.05, meaning that H_0 rejected so that it can be concluded that there is an increase in the concentration of social studies learning students after being given ice breaking method treatment brain gymnastics.
