Abstract

Information problem of a location has become a common thing that happens in every place, but rarely noticed because the think it’s not too important. However, this becomes important when the information needed should be provided with fast, accurate and complete without wasting much time. On that consideration this research was conducted. To make it more interesting and representative, this research emphasis on building a site with 3-dimensional visualization technology based RIA (Rich Internet Applictaion). As a first step solution, detailed data on the location and site plan needed to build a virtual 3-dimensional map, built using the original Master Plan respective locations, so as to describe a form of the original approach in the real world. Each building was given information in accordance with applicable in the real world. To further facilitate the search space, also built sub-program "Path Finder" program to search the shortest path to the destination. Development sub-program path finder using Dijkstra's algorithm as a logical solution. Results of the search is to be any point which is a minimum distance. Users can also explore the data on buildings, departments and faculties. This research is the first step to apply to a huge location and more complex.
