Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan terhadap kurang beragamnya media pembelajaran yang disediakan guru. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya efektifnya media pembelajaran dan terlihat dari penggunaan media yang tidak secara berkelanjutan digunakan oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran flash card untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan mengenal huruf anak usia 4 -5 tahun yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan lapangan. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil studi pendahuluan dan studi literatur yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti mengenai kurangnya media pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan mengenal huruf. Metode penelitian yang digunaan yaitu pengembangan atau mix method dengan desain EDR (Educational Research Education) oleh Mckenney dan Reeves. Terdapat 4 tahapan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tahap Analisis dan Eksplorasi (Analysis and Exploration), Tahap Desain dan Kontruksi (Evaluation and Construction), Tahap Evaluasi dan Refleksi (Evaluation and Reflection), dan Tahap Kelayakan Produk. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara, angket, serta validasi ahli. Setelah melakukan validasi oleh para ahli media, materi, dan pedagogic langkah selanjutnya melakukan uji coba ssebanyak dua kali proses uji coba di TK Negeri Pembina. Secara umum media flash card untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan mengenal huruf anak usia 4 – 5 tahun telah berhasil dikembangkan serta layak untuk digunakan pada kegiatan pembelajaran di jenjang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. This research is motivated by problems with the lack of variety of learning media provided by teachers. This is caused by the lack of effectiveness of learning media and can be seen from the use of media that is not continuously used by teachers in the learning process. The purpose of this research was to develop flash card learning media to facilitate the ability to recognize letters for children aged 4-5 years according to field needs. This research is based on the results of preliminary studies and literature studies that have been conducted by researchers regarding the lack of learning media that can facilitate the ability to recognize letters. The research method used is the development or mix method with the EDR (Educational Research Education) design by McKenney and Reeves. There are 4 stages in this research, namely the Analysis and Exploration stage, the Design and Construction Stage (Evaluation and Construction), the Evaluation and Reflection Stage, and the Product Feasibility Stage. The data collection techniques for this research were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and expert validation. After conducting validation by media, material, and pedagogic experts, the next step is to conduct trials twice in the trial process at the Foster State Kindergarten. In general, flash card media to facilitate the ability to recognize letters for children aged 4-5 years has been successfully developed and is suitable for use in learning activities at the Early Childhood Education level.
