Abstract

Forecasting (forecasting) is an important tool in planning an effective and efficient especially in the economic sphere. Forecasting has a direct role in external events which in general are outside the control of management, such as the economy, the Government and other customers. Demand forecasting a prominent role in the planning and decision making in particular areas of production. In doing research on forecasting method of Decomposition is used. The decomposition method is often called also method of time series forecasting method is one that is based on the fact that typically what has happened will happen again with a recurrence or the same pattern. If it used to always go up, in time to come will usually rise as well, which is usually reduced will be reduced as well, which usually fluctuates will fluctuate as well and that is usually not regular then it would be irregular as well. To do forecasting by using the method of decomposition in need 4 components pattern changes, namely: the trend of (T), seasonal fluctuations (M), cyclical fluctuations (S) and the changes are purely random (R). each pattern will be searched one by one the changes after the discovery will be merged into value, estimates or forecasts. In implementation by using Visual Studio 2008 (Vb.Net) Mysql Server 5.1 and SQLyog Enterprise. From the results of research on Decomposition provides an effective solution for specific problems including problems of decision making in production activities and the procurement of goods
