Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian dilatarbelakangi dari perundungan yang kerap terjadi di sekolah, khususnya Sekolah Dasar. Perilaku perundungan merujuk pada perilaku agresif yang dilakukan terhadap orang yang lebih lemah, perundungan dapat berdampak negatif terhadap rasa aman dan damai siswa, sehingga mengancam prestasi akademik maupun non-akademiknya. Dalam hal ini guru kelas di Sekolah Dasar memiliki fungsi ganda yaitu mengajarkan materi pelajaran serta sebagai guru bimbingan dan konseling bagi siswa, sejalan dengan fakta tersebut maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemahaman dan strategi guru kelas dalam menangani perundungan di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian berjumlah lima orang, yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemahamn guru kelas terhadap konsep perundungan sudah baik, meskipun sebagian masih diungkapkan secara tersirat dan belum dipahami secara utuh. Adapun strategi AS sebagai guru kelas, terdapat penanganan yang dilakukan secara umum yaitu dengan metode sanksi langsung dan penanganan secara khusus terhadap siswa slow learner yang cenderung merasa inferior apabila digabung dengan siswa sebayanya di sekolah reguler, sehingga seringkali menarik diri dari pertemananya dan rentang mengalami perundungan. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by bullying that often occurs in schools, especially elementary schools. Bullying behavior refers to aggressive behavior towards people who are weaker, bullying can have a negative impact on students' sense of security and peace, thereby threatening their academic and non-academic achievements. In this case the classroom teacher in elementary schools has a dual function, namely teaching subject matter as well as being a guidance and counseling teacher for students. In line with these facts, the purpose of this study was to describe the understanding and strategies of classroom teachers in dealing with bullying in elementary schools. This research is qualitative with a case study design. Data collection techniques used in the form of interviews. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman technique, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. There were five research subjects who were determined by snowball sampling technique. The results of the study show that the classroom teacher's understanding of the concept of bullying is good, although there are some implied and not yet fully understood. As for the AS strategy as a classroom teacher, there is general handling, namely the method of direct sanctions and special handling of slow learners who tend to feel inferior when combined with their peers in regular schools, so they often withdraw from their association and are ostracized. vulnerable to bullying.
