Abstract
The Bioskop Online Platform is an application service for watching movies without a subscription from PT Bioskop Digital Indonesia that makes it easier for users to view quality films and content made by Indonesian children. The purpose of this research is to analyze the Bioskop Online platform as a film distribution medium. This study used a qualitative research method with an analytic descriptive approach. This study uses McQuil's new media theory to play an important role in the analysis process to find out what is present in bioskop online as new media. The results of this study indicate that bioskop online platforms have made it easy for film activists to distribute and show films widely. The emergence of new media and advances in technology have changed the way audiences interact with films. Film distribution through online platforms has great potential to reach a wider audience globally, including for Indonesian independent filmmakers.
