Abstract

ABSTRAK Penguasaan konsep adalah usaha yang harus dilakukan oleh peserta didik dalam merekam dan mentransfer kembali sejumlah informasi dari suatu materi pelajaran tertentu yang dapat digunakan dalam memecahkan masalah, menganalisa, menginterpetasikan pada suatu kejadian tertentu. Dan keterampilan sosial adalah kemampuan individu dalam menjalin komunikasi dan interaksi dengan orang lain diantaranya kemampuan untuk bekerjasama, berbagi, berpartisipasi, berteman, membantu orang lain, mengikuti aturan- aturan menerima perbedaan, mendengarkan dan menghargai orang lain serta menghargai diri sendiri dan bersikap sopan santun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) dan untuk mengetahui penguasaan konsep serta keterampilan sosial peserta didik SD sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) dengan model RADEC. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Grup Desain. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 40 peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang terbagi dalam dua rombongan belajar di salah satu SD Negeri Kota Bandung. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan nontes. Data penelitian diolah berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest keterampilan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan sosial kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol melalui statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan bantuan program IBM SPSS 25 dan Microsoft Excel 2019. Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu : 1) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran RADEC di IPS Sudah Baik, 2) Penguasaan konsep peserta didik SD sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) dengan model RADEC, terlihat meningkat dari hasil sebelumnya, dan 3) Keterampilan Sosial peserta didik SD sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) dengan model RADEC, terlihat meningkat dari hasil sebelumnya. ABSTRACT Concept mastery is the effort that must be made by students in recording and transferring back some information from a particular subject matter that can be used in solving problems, analyzing, interpreting certain events. And social skills are individual abilities in establishing communication and interaction with other people including the ability to cooperate, share, participate, make friends, help others, follow the rules of accepting differences, listen and respect others and respect yourself and be polite. This study aims to explore the implementation of the Social Sciences (IPS) learning model and to find out the mastery of concepts and social skills of elementary students before and after learning Social Sciences (IPS) with the RADEC model. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted on 40 grade V elementary school students for the 2022/2023 school year, which were divided into two study groups at one of Bandung City Public Elementary Schools. This research instrument uses tests and nontes. The research data was processed based on the results of the pretest and posttest of concept mastery skills and social skills of the experimental class and control class through descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the help of the IBM SPSS 25 and Microsoft Excel 2019 programs. The results of this study are: 1) The implementation of RADEC learning in IPS has Good, 2) Elementary students' mastery of concepts before and after learning Social Sciences (IPS) with the RADEC model, appears to have increased from the previous results, and 3) Elementary students' Social Skills before and after learning Social Sciences (IPS) with the RADEC model , seems to increase from the previous results.
