Abstract

PPKn is one of the lessons that can develop the potential of students and a teacher should be able to design learning in the classroom creatively, actively and innovatively. Success in teaching and learning activities can be seen in the learning process and learning outcomes. Based on the results of observations in class V SDN Sepang obtained the results that learning activities are only teacher-centered and lack of use of learning models and media in the learning process. So that students tend to be passive and less active in learning activities. This causes low student learning outcomes in Civics learning. Researchers collaborate with teachers to improve student learning outcomes in class V by applying the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) learning model in Civics learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with a class action research method (PTK). This research was conducted in 3 cycles with 3 meetings. This study found that there was an increase in teacher activities and student activities during teaching and learning activities as well as student learning outcomes that increased every cycle. The percentage of teacher activity in cycle I obtained 77%, cycle II 88% and in cycle III 94%. While the percentage of student activity in cycle I obtained 73%, cycle II 85% and in cycle III 92%. Then, student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle obtained a percentage of 32% completeness, in cycle I increased to 66%, in cycle II increased to 74% and in cycle III increased further to 87% with good criteria. Based on the data obtained, it shows that the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) learning model can improve student learning outcomes in Civics learning in class V SDN Sepang.
