Abstract
Kognitif merupakan kemampuan berfikir anak dalam memecahkan suatu masalah. Rendahnya kemampuan pengenalan bentuk geometri pada anak di RA Nurul Khoir Padasuka disebabkan oleh media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran geometri kurang bervariasi, sehingga anak kurang memahami bentuk-bentuk geometri. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya solusi agar kemampuan anak dalam menganal bentuk geometri meningkat. Salah satu cara dalam menstimulasi anak dalam mengenal bentuk geometri yaitu dengan menggunakan media yang bervariasi, inovatif dan menarik seperti media smart box. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal bentuk geometri anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Nurul Khoir Padasuka. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) penelitian ini bentuk kolaborasi, guru merupakan mitra kerja peneliti. Terdapat 4 tahapan yaitu: tahap perencanaan tahap tindakan, tahap pengamatan dan tahap refleksi. Adapun hasil penelitiannya anak dalam mengeal bentuk geometri pada pra siklus terdapat 6 dari 8 anak kriteria belum berkembang (BB) dan 2 dari 8 anak kriteria mulai berkembang (MB). Adapun pada pelaksanaan siklus I mengalami peningkatan terdapat 2 dari 8 anak kriteria mulai berkembang (MB) dan 6 dari 8 anak kriteria berkembang sesuai harapan (BSH). Dari pemaparan di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan media smart box kemampuan anak dalam mengenal bentuk geometri dapat meningkat. Oleh karena itu hasil penelitian ini direkomendasikan untuk tercapainya kemampuan anak dalam mengenal geometri. Cognitive is a child's ability to think in solving a problem. The low ability to recognize geometric shapes in children at RA Nurul Khoir Padasuka is caused by the lack of variety in the media used in learning geometry, so that children do not understand geometric shapes. Therefore, there needs to be a solution so that children's ability to recognize geometric shapes increases. One way to stimulate children to recognize geometric shapes is by using varied, innovative and interesting media such as smart box media. The aim of this research is to improve the ability to recognize geometric shapes in children aged 5-6 years at RA Nurul Khoir Padasuka. The method used is classroom action research (PTK). This research is a form of collaboration, the teacher is the researcher's working partner. There are 4 stages, namely: planning stage, action stage, observation stage and reflection stage. As for the results of the research, children in recognizing geometric shapes in the pre-cycle were 6 out of 8 children with criteria that were not yet developing (BB) and 2 out of 8 children with criteria that were starting to develop (MB). Meanwhile, in the implementation of cycle I there was an increase, there were 2 out of 8 children with criteria starting to develop (MB) and 6 out of 8 children with criteria developing according to expectations (BSH). From the explanation above, it can be concluded that by using smart box media, children's ability to recognize geometric shapes can increase. Therefore, the results of this research are recommended for achieving children's ability to recognize geometry.
