Abstract
Pendidikan adalah usaha secara sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar siswa dapat aktif mengembangkan potensi pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap. Di sekolah perlu ditanamkan keterampilan sosial. Adanya pandemi Covid 19 menjadikan Keterampilan sosial di Sekolah dasar tergolong rendah. Siswa kurang dalam bekerjasama, memiliki rasa tanggung jawab, dan berbagi antar temannya. Hal ini bisa menyebabkan penyimpangan perilaku. Maka perlu metode yang cocok dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial salah satunya metode role playing. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah metode role playing berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan sosial siswa pada pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas IV SDN Unggulan Kuningan pada bulan Mei 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonquivalent control grup design adanya kelas eksperimen dan kelas control. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode role playing berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan sosial siswa dengan nilai sig.(2-tailed) < 0,05 dan dilihat nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen. Selain itu, adanya perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan sosial siswa antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan role playing dan kelas Kontrol metode ceramah dengan nilai sig.(2-tailed) 0,000 kurang dari 0,05. Dan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi. Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning environment and learning process so that students can actively develop the potential of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. In school, social skills need to be instilled. The Covid 19 pandemic makes social skills in primary school low. Students lack cooperation, have a sense of responsibility, and share among their friends. It can lead to behavioral deviations. Then we need a suitable method of improving social skills, one of them is role-playing. So this study aims to find out whether role-playing methods have a significant influence on students' social skills in IPS learning. The research was carried out in the fourth grade of SDN Unggulan Kuningan in May 2023. The research uses quasi-experimental quantitative methods with nonquivalent control group designs for the existence of experimental classes and control classes. The results of the study showed that role playing methods significantly influenced the social skills of students with a sig.(2-tailed) < 0.05 score and seen the average value of the pre-test and posttest experimental class. In addition, there is a significant difference in students' social skills between the experimental class using role-playing and the control class of lecture methods with a sig.(2-tailed) 0,000 less than 0.05. And the average of the experimental class is higher.
