Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh bahan ajar yang kurang layak digunakan oleh pengajar. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh penelitian Feona tahun 2022 menguak buku teks Bahasa Indonesia kurang layak diberikan pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis unsur intrinsik dan nilai didaktis dari ketiga cerpen dalam kumpulan cerpen Rumah Ibu karya Harris Effendi Thahar, menganalisis tingkat relevansi cerpen sebagai bahan ajar di SMA, serta merancang modul teks cerpen berbentuk digital untuk kelas XI SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi pustaka. Pengolahan data penelitian ini menggunakan analisis struktural Stanton: nilai didaktis, relevansi ketiga cerpen sebagai bahan ajar dan menyusun rancangan bahan ajar berupa modul digital teks cerpen kelas XI. Sumber data berjudul Anak Panah, Kacamata Emak, dan Kain Batik dari Ibu. Penelitian ini menemukan hasil struktur cerpen berupa: (1) alur campuran, (2) sebanyak 25 tokoh yang muncul dalam ketiga cerpen (3) latar tempat dan latar waktu yang tertulis jelas dalam cerpen sedangkan latar sosial berkisah kehidupan sehari-hari, (4) ketiga cerpen memunculkan tema tradisional sedangkan tema mayor dan minor berbeda-beda, (5) ketiga judul cerpen yang sudah sesuai dengan isi maupun simbol dalam cerita, (6) ketiga cerpen memiliki sudut pandang yang berbeda-beda, (7) ketiga cerpen memakai gaya bahasa denotatif disertai majas metafora, hiperbola, serta personifikasi, (8) pengarang menggunakan simbolisme yang berbeda-beda, (9) tone yang dimunculkan dari ketiga cerpen berbeda-beda, (10) ironi yang ditampilkan berupa ironi dramatis dan ironi verbal. Selain itu, ditemukan tujuh nilai didaktis yang sering muncul dalam ketiga cerpen. Rancangan bahan ajar berupa modul digital teks cerpen kelas XI SMA yang tidak divalidasi oleh ahli. This research was motivated by teaching materials that were not suitable for use by teachers. This is evidenced by Feona's research in 2022 revealing textbooks Indonesian are not worthy of being given to students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the intrinsic elements and didactic value of three short stories in the collection "Rumah Ibu" by Harris Effendi Thahar, analyze the relevance of the short stories as teaching materials in high schools, and design a digital short story text module for grade XI in high schools. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection is conducted through literature review. The data processing in this study uses the Stanton structural analysis: didactic value, relevance of the three short stories as teaching materials, and the design of teaching materials in the form of a digital module for grade XI short story texts. The data sources are titled Anak Panah, Kacamata Emak, and Kain Batik dari Ibu. This study found the structural results of the short stories as follows: (1) mixed plot, (2) a total of 25 characters appeared in the three short stories, (3) clear settings of time and place in the short stories, while the social background portrays daily life, (4) the three short stories present traditional themes with varying major and minor themes, (5) the three titles of the short stories are appropriate to the content and symbolism in the stories, (6) the three short stories have different points of view, (7) the three short stories use denotative language along with figurative language such as metaphor, hyperbole, and personification, (8) the author uses different symbolism, (9) the tone presented in the three short stories is different, and (10) the irony displayed includes dramatic irony and verbal irony. Additionally, seven didactic values that frequently appear in the three short stories were identified. The design of teaching materials in the form of a digital module for grade XI short story texts in high schools has not been validated by experts.
