Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar menulis permulaan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis tegak bersambung siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Menulis tegak bersambung merupakan salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang harus dikuasai siswa sekolah dasar sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum. Namun pada kenyataannya masih terdapat banyak siswa belum menguasai keterampilan menulis tegak bersambung. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari penilaian sebanyak 72% atau 18 dari 25 siswa, hanya 7 siswa yang dapat mencapai KKM. Pengembangan bahan ajar menjadi salah satu alternatif yang dapat dilakukan guru untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis tegak bersambung siswa sekolah dasar. Pengembangan bahan ajar ini dikembangkan melalui metode Design and Development (D&D) mengacu pada model PPE yang digagas oleh Richey dan Klein, terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu Planning, Production, and Evaluation (PPE). Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan berupa wawancara, observasi, serta penyebaran angket validasi kepada ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli pembelajaran, kemudian uji coba terbatas pada siwa. Data yang telah terkumpul melalui penyebaran angket kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Skala Likert. Produk pengembangan bahan ajar menulis permulaan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis tegak berambung mendapat hasil persentase penilaian sebesar 75,3% dengan kategori baik dari ahli materi, persentase penilaian 81,2% dengan kategori sangat baik dari ahli media, serta persentase penilaian sebesar 90,6% dengan kategori sangat baik dari ahli pembelajaran. Sehingga mendapatkan presentase rata-rata sebesar 82,7% dengan kategori penilaian “sangat layak”. Serta, hasil wawancara siswa menunjukkan tanggapan positif terhadap bahan ajar ini. Maka dari itu, bahan ajar ini layak digunakan untuk memfasilitasi peningkatan keterampilan menulis tegak bersambung siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar. The purpose of this study was to develop teaching materials for beginning writers to improve the cursive writing skills of class II elementary school students. Writing in cursive is one of the language skills that elementary school students must master in accordance with curriculum demands. However, in reality, there are still many students who have not mastered the skill of cursive writing. This can be seen from the assessment of 72%, or 18 out of 25 students; only 7 students were able to reach the KKM. Developing teaching materials is an alternative that teachers can do to improve cursive writing skills for elementary school students. The development of this teaching material was done through the Design and Development (D&D) method, referring to the PPE model initiated by Richey and Klein, which consists of three stages: planning, production, and evaluation (PPE). The data collection techniques used were interviews, observations, and the distribution of validation questionnaires to material experts, media experts, and learning experts, followed by limited testing on students. The data that has been collected through the distribution of questionnaires is then analyzed using a Likert scale. The product development of starting writing teaching materials to improve continuous writing skills received an assessment percentage of 75.3% with a good category from material experts, an assessment percentage of 81.2% with a very good category from media experts, and an assessment percentage of 90.6% with a very good category from learning experts. So that it gets an average percentage of 82.7% in the "very decent" rating category. Also, the results of student interviews showed a positive response to this teaching material. Therefore, this teaching material is suitable to be used to facilitate improving the cursive writing skills of class II elementary school students.
