Abstract
Keterampilan sosial dan motivasi belajar merupakan aspek yang memerlukan perhatian agar dapat mendukung siswa menghadapi permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial dan motivasi belajar siswa di kelas IV. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen kuasi dengan jenis the nonequivalent group pretest-postes design. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 40 siswa kelas IV pada salah satu SD di Kabupaten Pangandaran tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang terdiri dari 20 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 20 siswa kelas kontrol. Instrumen pada penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi untuk keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT), instrument tes dan non tes untuk keterampilan sosial, serta angket untuk motivasi belajar. Adapun analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian yang dianalisis menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keterampilan sosial dan motivasi belajar siswa pada kelas ekperimen yang menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) pada pengukuran awal atau pretest dan pengukuran akhir atau posttest. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap keterampilan sosial dan motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Social skills and learning motivation are crucial aspects that require attention to support students in facing everyday life challenges. The present study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model in developing social skills and learning motivation of fourth-grade students. The study highlights the need to assess the TGT model's potential to improve student social skills and learning motivation. This research employs a quantitative approach utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design type. This study was carried out during the 2022/2023 academic year on a sample of 40 fourth-grade pupils from a primary school in Pangandaran Regency. The sample was divided into two groups: 20 students in the experimental group and 20 students in the control group. Data was collected using observation sheets to assess the implementation of a cooperative learning model known as the Team Games Tournament (TGT), in addition to social skills tests, non-test instruments, and learning motivation questionnaires. Abbreviations were fully explained upon first use. The data analysis was conducted using SPSS software version 25. The results of the research revealed disparities in social skills and student learning motivation between the experimental class that utilized Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning in the initial measurement or pretest and final measurement or posttest. It can be concluded that Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning has an effect on the social skills and learning motivation of primary school students.
