Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang kurang memiliki identitas vokasional yang matang. Identitas vokasional sangat berpengaruh terhadap siswa karena memiliki kaitan erat dengan pilihan karir siswa setelah lulus sekolah. Siswa berusia remaja yang memilih SMK dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan dan fokus di bidang tertentu dan memiliki urgensi untuk mengembangkan status identitas vokasional, karena siswa SMK harus mempersiapkan diri untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Perencanaan program bimbingan karir yang optimal dapat menunjang keberhasilan siswa dalam meningkatkan identitas vokasionalnya melalui ekplorasi karir dan komitmen. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui identitas vokasional siswa yang dijadikan sebagai dasar penyusunan program bimbingan karir. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena banyak siswa SMK yang belum mengenal identitas vokasionalnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 4 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen identitas vokasional yang meliputi aspek eksplorasi dan komitmen. Berdasarkan temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 4 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 memiliki identitas moratorium sebesar 96.60%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa sedang melakukan eksplorasi atau berada di tengah krisis (in crisis) tetapi belum komitmen terhadap pilihan karirnya. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi rujukan bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam mengembangkan identitas vokasional siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan melalui program bimbingan karir. The research was motivated by the phenomenon of Vocational High School (SMK) students who lack a mature vocational identity. Vocational identity is very influential on students because it has a close relationship with students' career choices after graduating from school. Adolescent students who choose SMK are required to have the ability and focus in certain areas and have the urgency to develop vocational identity status, because SMK students must prepare themselves to enter the world of work. Planning an optimal career guidance program can support students' success in improving their vocational identity through career exploration and commitment. The research aims to determine the vocational identity of students which is used as the basis for the preparation of career guidance programs. This research was conducted because many vocational students do not know their vocational identity. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population of this study is grade XI students of SMK Negeri 4 Bandung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The instrument used is a vocational identity instrument which includes aspects of exploration and commitment. Based on the findings, the results of the study show that most grade XI students of SMK Negeri 4 Bandung for the 2023/2024 Academic Year have an identity moratorium of 96.60%, this shows that students are exploring or are in the midst of a crisis but have not committed to their career choices. This research can be a reference for guidance and counseling teachers in developing the vocational identity of vocational high school students through career guidance programs.
