Abstract

Para lulusan Teknologi Pendidikan memiliki peluang karier yang luas di berbagai sektor, seperti sektor pendidikan, pemerintahan, kesehatan, hingga bisnis. Namun, perguruan tinggi menghadapi tantangan dalam menghasilkan lulusan yang kompetitif di era industri 4.0 yang harus mampu menguasai literasi data dan teknologi, termasuk jurusan Teknologi Pendidikan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, pemerintah menerapkan kebijakan Kampus Merdeka dan program Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) dalam meningkatkan kompetensi lulusan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa Teknologi Pendidikan UPI terhadap program MSIB dalam mengembangkan karier mereka. Alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah peneliti ingin mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa dari aspek perencanaan karier, eksplorasi karier, informasi pilihan-pilihan karier, pengambilan keputusan, dan orientasi nyata berkarier setelah mengikuti program MSIB. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket/kuesioner dengan bantuan Google form. Populasi dari penelitian berjumlah 116 yang merupakan mahasiswa Angkatan 2018-2020 yang pernah mengikuti program MSIB pada batch 1-4. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 58 mahasiswa dengan menggunakan teknik sampling Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dengan teknik persentase yang dibantu dengan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS Statistic versi 26. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah persepsi mahasiswa terhadap program MSIB dalam mengembangkan kematangan kariernya yang berada pada kategori sangat positif. Hal tersebut didapatkan hasil dari perhitungan data yang diinterpretasikan dari interpretasi pada setiap aspek persepsi yang diteliti, yang mencakup: perencanaan karier, eksplorasi karier, informasi pilihan-pilihan karier, pengambilan keputusan, dan orientasi nyata berkarier. Graduates of Educational Technology possess expansive career prospects across diverse sectors, including education, government, healthcare, and commerce. However, universities confront challenges in cultivating graduates who can compete effectively in the era of Industry 4.0, marked by the imperative to master data literacy and technology, including the field of Educational Technology. In response, the Government has implemented the Kampus Merdeka policy and introduced the Internship and certified Independent Study Program (MSIB) to augment graduates’ competencies. The research aims to analyze the perceptions of UPI Educational Technology students towards the MSIB program in developing their careers. The reason for conducting this research is to understand students’ perceptions in terms of career planning, career exploration, career option information, decision-making, and real career orientation after participating in the MSIB program. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method. Data collection techniques involve questionnaires administered through Google Forms. The study population consists of 116 students in the 2018-2020 academic years who have participated in the MSIB program batches 1-4. The research comprises 58 students selected through Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Dara's analysis employs descriptive statistical analysis with a percentage technique supported by IBM SPSS Statistic version 26 software. The research findings indicate that students’ perception of the MSIB program’s role in enhancing their career maturity falls within the highly positive category. This conclusion is drawn from the data calculation based on each aspect of perception examined, encompassing career planning, career exploration, career option information, decision-making, and practical career orientation
