Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pada pembelajaran menyimak dongeng siswa masih kesulitan memahami isi dongeng yang disimaknya. Untuk itu peneliti melakukan suatu penelitian dari permasalahan di atas dengan menggunakan media untuk memudahkan siswa khususnya dalam pembelajaran menyimak. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal menyimak dongeng, langkah-langkah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media podcast ruang dongeng serta peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menyimak dongeng. Penggunaan media merupakan suatu rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Situraja sebanyak 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, wawancara, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi.Bentuk validasi yang digunakan adalah member check, triangulasi, expert opinion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) kemampuan awal menyimak dongeng siswa rendah dengan rata-rata perolehan nilai siswanya masih dibawah seharusnya yaitu 64 2) langkah-langkah pembelajaran menyimak dongeng dengan menggunakan media podcast ruang dongeng meliputi enam tahapan yaitu menyampian tujuan pembelajaran dan motivasi, penyajian materi, mengorganisasikan siswa ke dalam kelompok belajar, membimbing kelompok dalam menyelesaikan kerja, mengevalusi hasil kerja kelompok dan pemberian apresiasi pada siswa maupun kelompok, 3) hasil belajar siswa menunjukan siswa sudah mampu menyebutkan tema, menyebutkan tokoh, membandingkan watak, menyebutkan latar, menjelaskan alur, menyebutkan sudut pandang dan menyimpulkan amanat. Data awal diperoleh rata-rata nilai siswa 64, siklus I diperoleh rata-rata nilai siswa 75, dan siklus II diperoleh rata-rata nilai 87 dilihat dari perolehan nilai tersebut disimpulkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menyimak dongeng siswa kelas IV. This research is motivated by learning to listen to fairy tales, students still have difficulty understanding the contents of the fairy tales they are listening to. For this reason, researchers conducted a study of the problems above by using media to make it easier for students, especially in listening learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the initial ability to listen to fairy tales, learning steps using the fairy tale room podcast media and to increase students' ability to listen to fairy tales. The use of media is a design used in classroom action research developed by Kemmis and Mc.Taggart. The subjects of this study were 27 grade IV students of SD Negeri Situraja. Data collection techniques used were tests, interviews, field notes and documentation. The forms of validation used were member checks, triangulation, expert opinion. The results showed: 1) the initial ability to listen to students' fairy tales was low with an average student score still below what it should be, namely 64 2) the steps for learning to listen to fairy tales using the fairy tale space podcast media included six stages, namely conveying learning objectives and motivation, presenting material , organizing students into study groups, guiding groups in completing work, evaluating the results of group work and giving appreciation to students and groups, 3) student learning outcomes show that students are able to mention themes, mention characters, compare characters, mention backgrounds, explain plots, mentioning the point of view and concluding the mandate with the initial data obtained an average student score of 64, cycle I obtained an average student score of 75, and cycle II obtained an average value of 87. judging from the acquisition of the value, it was concluded that there was an increase in the ability to listen to fairy tales for class IV students.
