Abstract

Remaja rentan melakukan kenakalan, sikap tersebut didasari masalah emosional dan perilaku karena adiksi internet, sehingga berdampak negatif pada perkembangan dan kualitas hidup. Perubahan pola hidup remaja disebabkan oleh faktor psikologis seperti rendahnya tingkat harga diri. Penurunan harga diri remaja berdampak pada meningkatnya kenakalan remaja sampai kasus kriminalitas di masa dewasa, karena nilai harga diri individu pada usia 11, 13 dan 15 tahun sama seperti mereka saat berusia 26 tahun, sehingga perlu diketahui upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan nilai harga diri individu sebagai langkah awal mengatasi kenakalan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menegaskan pentingnya perlakuan dalam meningkatkan harga diri individu sejak kecil. Penelitian ini juga dilakukan untuk membuktikan pernyataan bahwa harga diri sering meningkat ketika individu menghadapi masalah dan mencoba mengatasinya dari pada menghindarinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi eksperimen asli dengan jumlah sampel 62 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Kota Bandung, terbagi atas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa yang sama. Teknis analisis yang digunakan adalah uji beda menggunakan paired sample dengan hasil temuan adanya pengaruh positif penerapan PBL terhadap harga diri siswa, ditandai dengan meningkatnya motivasi siswa merespon stimulus yang diberikan guru, serta munculnya perasaan diterima oleh teman sebaya setelah melewati fase yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan interaksi siswa selama pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL. Hasil analisis pada independent sampel ditemukan bahwa peningkatan harga diri siswa di kelas kontrol tidak lebih baik dari kelas eksperimen. Karena dalam pembelajaran konvensional, siswa tidak mengalami rangsangan yang sama pada aspek kinerja dan penerimaan sosial dalam model problem based learning. Adolescents are prone to delinquency, this attitude is based on emotional and behavioral problems due to internet addiction, which has a negative impact on development and quality of life. Changes in adolescent lifestyle are caused by psychological factors such as low levels of self-esteem. The decline in adolescent self-confidence has an impact on increasing juvenile delinquency to criminal cases in adulthood, because the value of individual self-esteem at the age of 11, 13 and 15 years is the same as they were at the age of 26 years, so it is necessary to know the efforts that can be made to increase the value of individual self-esteem as a first step to overcome juvenile delinquency. This study aims to affirm the importance of treatment in improving the self-esteem of individuals since childhood. This study was also conducted to prove the statement that self-esteem often increases when individuals face problems and try to overcome them rather than avoid them. This study used the true experimental study method with a sample of 62 grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kota Bandung, divided into experimental classes and control classes with the same number of students. The technical analysis used is a different test using paired samples with the findings of a positive influence on the application of PBL on student confidence, characterized by increased student motivation to respond to stimuli given by the teacher, as well as the emergence of feelings of acceptance by peers after passing through a phase that can improve student interaction skills during learning using the PBL model. The results of the analysis on an independent sample found that the increase in students' self-esteem in the control class was no better than that of the experimental class. Because in conventional learning, students do not experience the same stimuli in aspects of performance and social acceptance in the problem-based learning model.
