Abstract

ChatGPT merupakan salah satu kecerdasan buatan yang dikembangkan oleh Perusahan OpenAI. ChatGPT mampu memudahkan aktivitas manusia di berbagai bidang, salah satunya pendidikan. Dengan kemampuan menghasilkan informasi dengan cepat, ChatGPT dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa Teknologi Pendidikan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia terhadap platform ChatGPT sebagai sumber belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survei menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 387 dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling, menghasilkan sampel dengan jumlah 116 mahasiswa. Data diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif yang kemudian diinterpretasikan menggunakan bantuan garis kontinum. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Persepsi mahasiswa mengenai kepraktisan ChatGPT termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat positif. (2) Persepsi mahasiswa mengenai kualitas informasi yang disajikan ChatGPT termasuk ke dalam kategori positif. (3) Persepsi mahasiswa terhadap ChatGPT terkait efektivitas pembelajaran termasuk ke dalam kategori positif. (4) Persepsi mahasiswa terhadap ChatGPT terkait bahan ajar dan media pembelajaran termasuk ke dalam kategori positif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa Teknologi Pendidikan terhadapt platform ChatGPT sebagai sumber belajar adalah positif meskipun terdapat beberapa hal yang kurang sesuai dengan prinsip sumber belajar, artinya mahasiswa perlu memfiltrasi penggunaan ChatGPT dan memanfaatkan sumber rujukan lain yang sudah diakui kredibilitas dan akurasinya. ChatGPT is one of the artificial intelligences that developed by OpenAI. ChatGPT can facilitate human activities in various fields, including education. With the ability to quickly generate information, ChatGPT can be utilized as a learning resource by students. This study aims to describe the perception of students majoring in Educational Technology at the Indonesia Universitiy of Education towards the ChatGPT platform as a learning resource. This research employs a quantitative approach and a descriptive method. The data collection technique was carried out by a survey method and using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Populations of this study consists of 387 students, sampling was carried out using simple random sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 116 studens. The data is processed and analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques which are then interpreted using continuum lines. The research findings indicate that: (1) Student perceptions regarding the practicality of ChatGPT are included in the highly positive categoy. (2) Students’ perceptions regarding the quality of the information presented by ChatGPT are included in the positive category. (3) Students' perceptions of ChatGPT regarding learning effectiveness are included in the positive category. (4) Students' perceptions of ChatGPT regarding teaching materials and learning media are included in the positive category. It can be concluded that the perception of Educational Technology students towards the ChatGPT platform as a learning resource is ‘positive’ even though there are some things that are not in accordance with the principles of learning resources, meaning that students need to filter the use of ChatGPT and utilize other referral sources that have been recognized for their credibility and accuracy.
