Abstract

Minat dan komitmen belajar pada bidang pendidikan anak usia dini dianggap penting karena keduanya dapat berperan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat pada bidang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini terhadap komitmen belajar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini UPI Kampus di Serang. Pada penelitian ini pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif korelasional. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket secara daring dengan skala Likert kepada 73 mahasiswa Program Studi PGPAUD yang berstatus aktif. Untuk analisa data menggunakan rumus uji korelasi product moment Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara minat pada bidang pendidikan anak usia dini dan komitmen belajar mahasiswa. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,751 > r tabel = 0.230. Selain itu hasil koefisien determinasi menunjukan nilai sebesar 0,565 yang artinya variabel minat pada bidang pendidikan anak usia dini berpengaruh sebesar 56,5% terhadap komitmen belajar, sedangkan 43,5% lainnya diperoleh dari variabel lain seperti motivasi, komunikasi interpersonal guru, dan konseling kelompok. Minat mahasiswa program studi PGPAUD Kampus UPI di serang pada bidang PAUD berada pada kategori sangat tinggi dengan aspek yang paling besar yaitu aspek afektif dengan nilai sebesar 35%. Sementara, dimensi komitmen belajar pada mahasiswa program studi PGPAUD Kampus UPI di Serang berada pada kategori tinggi dengan nilai dimensi yang paling besar yaitu dimensi komitmen afektif sebesar 41%. Penelitian ini mengusulkan rekomendasi kepada pembuat kebijakan guna menciptakan program yang mampu meningkatkan minat mahasiswa dalam bidang pendidikan anak usia dini dan komitmen belajar dan bagi peneliti selanjutnya, diharapkan untuk mengidentifikasi variabel lain yang dapat mempengaruhi komitmen belajar. Interest and commitment to learning in the field of early childhood education are considered important because both can play a role in improving the quality of early childhood education. This study aims to determine the effect of interest in the field of Early Childhood Education on the learning commitment of students of the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program UPI Campus in Serang. In this study the approach used is quantitative with descriptive correlational methods. Data collection was carried out through online questionnaires with a Likert scale to 73 students of the early childhood education teacher education study program who were active. For data analysis using the Pearson product moment correlation test formula. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between interest in early childhood education and student learning commitment. This is evidenced by the correlation coefficient value of 0.751 > r table = 0.230. In addition, the results of the coefficient of determination show a value of 0.565, which means that the variable interest in early childhood education has an effect of 56.5% on learning commitment, while the other 43.5% is obtained from other variables such as motivation, teacher interpersonal communication, and group counseling. The interest of students in the early childhood education teacher education study program at the UPI Campus in Serang in the field of early childhood education is in the very high category with the biggest aspect being the affective aspect with a score of 35%. Meanwhile, the dimensions of learning commitment for students of the early childhood education teacher education study program on the UPI campus in Serang are in the high category with the highest dimension is affective commitment dimension with a score 41%. This study proposes recommendations to policy makers to create programs that are able to increase student interest in early childhood education and learning commitment and for future researchers, it is expected to identify other variables that can influence learning commitment.
