Naufalia Zahrannanda, - (2023) PENGARUH TWO-STAGE EXAM TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP SISWA PADA MATERI SISTEM KOORDINASI MANUSIA. S1 thesis, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
Abstract
This study aims to obtain data on the influence of the Two-stage Exam on increasing students' concept mastery in science class on Human Coordination Systems material. This study used the pre-experimental design method by conducting research on two classes without a control class. The research design used was a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Data collection was carried out at one of the high schools in Bandung. The sample used in this research was 59 students from two different classes, namely Science 5 (class with passive character) with a total of 30 students, and Science 6 (class with active character) with a total of 29 students. The research was conducted in 2 meetings for each class. Research data was obtained through student scores before treatment (pre-test), student scores after treatment (post-test), and a questionnaire containing student responses to the Two-stage Exam. The treatment in question is a Two-Stage Exam which consists of 5 essay questions with different question indicators and includes material on Human Coordination Systems. The results of this research show that the Two-stage Exam is a fairly effective method to be used as an assessment for learning, based on the N-Gain values obtained from both classes, namely 59.32% of students had a high N-Gain. Apart from the N-Gain score, the results of the students' responses to the Two-stage Exam were said to be quite good.
