Abstract
This study aims to produce virtual experiment applications that are presented to simulate colloid matter, especially the Tyndall Effect sub-matter. This application is named the Tyndall effect simulator because it is able to provide facilities as if carrying out a real experiment (in a laboratory). The research method used in this study is Developmental Research with the PPE research model, which consists of 3 stages, namely planning, production, and evaluation. In the planning process, produce supporting media used in the simulator. In the evaluation process, generate suggestions and improvements to the simulator. In the process of making this application, an HTML 5-based programming tool was used in development, namely Construct 2, with additional applications in the form of Ibis Paint X and Flaticon. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that this simulator has the characteristics of being able to provide experimental facilities as if students were doing a real Tyndall effect experiment. This can be realized because the simulator consists of text, images, animation, and simulation media. In addition, this simulator in terms of content and media completeness is included in the very feasible category on competency, simulator, grammar, general media display, and navigation indicators by educators and students that were developed in the form of adding preparatory materials before making observations. events of the Tyndall effect on further development so that the application can assist in learning the Tyndall Effect sub-matter.
