Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara peer pressure dengan self-regulated learning pada mahasiswa. Responden (N=515) adalah mahasiswa aktif UPI Bumi Siliwangi angkatan 2020, 2021, dan 2022 jenjang S1 dari 8 fakultas. Responden mengisi kuesioner Peer Pressure Inventory (PPI) untuk mengukur peer pressure dan kuesioner Online Self-Regulated Learning (OSLQ) untuk mengukur self-regulated learning mahasiswa yang sudah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling dengan incidental sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara peer pressure dengan self-regulated learning mahasiswa. Peer pressure yang ditemukan pada mahasiswa UPI Bumi Siliwangi adalah peer pressure yang cenderung positif. Artinya mahasiswa cenderung merasa pressure yang diberikan oleh teman sebayanya dapat mendorong mereka untuk giat belajar dan fokus pada tujuan belajarnya sehingga menjadi lebih bersemangat dalam mengatur dirinya sendiri guna mencapai hasil belajar yang memuaskan. Self-regulated learning yang dimiliki mahasiswa UPI Bumi Siliwangi mayoritas berada pada kategori sedang. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between peer pressure and self-regulated learning in students. Respondents (N=515) were active students of UPI Bumi Siliwangi class of 2020, 2021, and 2022 undergraduate level from 8 faculties. Respondents filled out the Peer Pressure Inventory (PPI) questionnaire to measure peer pressure and the Online Self-Regulated Learning Questionnaire (OSLQ) to measure students' self-regulated learning which had been adapted into Indonesian. The sampling technique used was non probability sampling with incidental sampling. The data analysis technique used was Pearson correlation analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between peer pressure and students' self-regulated learning. Peer pressure found in UPI Bumi Siliwangi students is peer pressure that tends to be positive. This means that students tend to feel that the pressure given by their peers can encourage them to study hard and focus on their learning goals so that they become more enthusiastic in managing themselves in order to achieve satisfactory learning outcomes. Self-regulated learning owned by the majority of UPI Bumi Siliwangi students is in the moderate category.
