Abstract
Kepemimpinan Transformasional Kepala Sekolah dalam Mengembangkan Kompetensi Guru untuk Mewujudkan Merdeka Belajar di Sekolah Dasar (Studi Kasus pada Sekolah Penggerak di Wilayah Garut Selatan). Pendidikan membutuhkan perbaikan dari kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kompetensi guru, dan cara guru mengajar. Berdasarkan studi lapangan, kepala sekolah masih sulit beradaptasi terhadap perubahan, kurang memperhatikan kebutuhan, dan aspirasi guru. Penerapan dimensi merdeka belajar yaitu 1) komitmen pada tujuan, mandiri, dan reflektif belum optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini 1) untuk menganalisis strategi kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kompetensi guru, 2) untuk menelaah kontribusi kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam mewujudkan merdeka belajar di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru kelas I dan kelas IV, siswa kelas I dan kelas IV pada 3 Sekolah Penggerak di Wilayah Garut Selatan. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti, pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pengolahan data dengan cara pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga kepala sekolah penggerak sudah menunjukkan praktik kepemimpinan transformasional. Rata rata ketercapaian merdeka belajar tiga sekolah penggerak adalah 90,15%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini, kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah belum optimal menerapkan strategi dalam mengembangkan kompetensi guru dan belum berkontribusi maksimal dalam mewujudkan merdeka belajar di sekolah dasar. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini, kepala sekolah perlu menerapkan berbagai strategi kepemimpinan transformasional dalam mengembangkan kompetensi guru dan memberikan kontribusi maksimal dalam mewujudkan merdeka belajar di sekolah dasar. ----- Transformational Leadership of School Principals in Developing Teacher Competence to Realize Independent Learning in Elementary Schools (Case Study in Mobilizing Schools in the South Garut Region). Education requires improvement in the principal's leadership, teacher competence, and the way teachers teach. Based on field studies, school principals still find it difficult to adapt to change, pay little attention to the needs and aspirations of teachers. The application of independent learning dimensions, namely 1) commitment to goals, independence, and reflection is not optimal. The aims of this research are 1) to analyze the principal's transformational leadership strategy in developing teacher competency, 2) to examine the contribution of the principal's transformational leadership in realizing independent learning in elementary schools. This research method is a case study qualitative research method. The participants in this research were school principals, class I and class IV teachers, class I and class IV students at 3 Driving Schools in the South Garut Region. The research instruments were researchers, interview guides, observation sheets, and documentation. Data processing by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the three driving school principals have demonstrated transformational leadership practices. The average achievement of learning independence from three driving schools is 90.15%. The conclusion of this research is that the transformational leadership of school principals has not optimally implemented strategies in developing teacher competence and has not contributed optimally in realizing independent learning in elementary schools. Recommendations from this research are that school principals need to implement various transformational leadership strategies in developing teacher competence and providing maximum contribution in realizing independent learning in elementary schools.
