Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada abad ke-21, tetapi pada hasil pengamatan di lapangan, kemampuan berpikir kreatif masih belum diimplementasikan secara optimal dimana siswa belum terbiasa dengan permasalahan yang melibatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa masih perlu dikembangkan, khususnya sejak siswa masih duduk di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan open-ended berbantuan media storyboard terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non equivalent control group yang sampelnya tidak diambil secara acak. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah salah satu SD Negeri di Kota Jakarta Barat dengan jumlah sampel 54 siswa dari masing-masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 27 siswa. Kelas eksperimen mendapat perlakuan pendekatan open-ended berbantuan media storyboard, sedangkan kelas kontrol mendapat perlakuan pembelajaran langsung. Analisis data utama diperoleh dari nilai pretes dan postes yang kemudian diuji menggunakan statistik parametrik uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis setelah diberikan perlakuan pendekatan open-ended berbantuan media storyboard yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai probabilitas sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05; (2) kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan open-ended berbantuan media storyboard dan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai probabilitas sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Dari hasil tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa guru dapat menerapkan pendekatan open-ended berbantuan media storyboard untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa, khususnya pada materi pecahan di sekolah dasar. ----- This research is motivated by the importance of creative thinking skills in the 21st century, but based on observations, creative thinking skills are still not optimally implemented where students are not familiar with problems involving creative thinking skills. Therefore, students' creative thinking skills still need to be developed, especially since students are still in elementary school. The research aims to find out the effect of an open-ended approach with the assistance of media storyboards on mathematical creative thinking skills of elementary school students. The research was conducted using experimental quasi with designs of non-equivalent control groups whose samples were not taken randomly. The population of this study was one of the elementary schools in West Jakarta City with a total sample of 54 students from each experimental class and control class of 27 students. Experimental class received an open-ended approach with the assistance of media storyboards, while control class received a direct-instruction learning. The primary data analysis is obtained from the pretest and posttest values which are then tested using t-test parametric statistics. The results of the study showed: (1) there was an improvement in the athematical creative thinking skills after being treated with an open-ended approach with the assistance of media storyboards shown with a probability value of 0,000 less than 0,05; (2) mathematical creative thinking skills among students who acquired learning with open-ended approach with the assistance of media storyboards and students who acquired with direct-instruction learning shown with a probability value of 0,000 less than 0,05. From these results, it was suggested that teachers could apply an open-ended approach with the assistance of media storyboards to develop students' mathematical creative thinking skills, especially on fragmentary material in elementary school.
