Abstract

This research is titled "Implementation of Strengthening Teacher Profession through the Guru Penggerak program at SD Negeri 108 Ciumbuleuit." The research is conducted based on the preliminary study results, which showed a lack of knowledge about the Merdeka curriculum, where the learning process should be student-centered. The teaching methods used in the learning process are limited to lectures or assignments. The objectives of this research are to determine the implementation of the Guru Penggerak program, the role of Guru Penggerak for fellow teachers, changes in the competencies of Guru Penggerak, and the obstacles and solutions in implementing the program at the school. The research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection procedures include interviews, observations, documentation studies, and triangulation. Data processing and analysis are done using NVivo 12 software. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Guru Penggerak program follows the modules set by the Ministry of Education and Culture, including positive culture, practitioner communities, and differentiated learning. Collaboration between Guru Penggerak and fellow teachers shows that the role of Guru Penggerak is essential for the professional development of teachers. The Guru Penggerak program has benefits for improving the competencies of Guru Penggerak, especially in professional, personal, social, and pedagogical abilities. The contributions of Guru Penggerak create an inspiring, creative, and effective learning environment, promoting productive collaboration.
