Abstract

Kedudukan mata pelajaran PJOK di sekolah perlu dibuktikan melalui studi ilmiah tentang persepsi siswa atlet dan non atlet pada mata pelajaran PJOK. Sebuah penelitian deskriptif dengan desain survey dan teknik wawancara telah dilakukan pada 8 orang siswa dengan 4 orang di SMP N 7 dan 4 orang di SMP N 20 Bandung. Wawancara dilakukan berkaitan dengan pendapat siswa, tujuan keterlibatan, suasanya pembelajaran, motivasi siswa, proses belajar dan penilaian belajar mengajar. Melalui bantuan analisis data software Nvivo12 ditemukan bahwa masih terdapat banyak kekurangan yang kurang memadai, kurang kondusif, dan kurang memahami ilmu yang didapatkan pada pembelajaran PJOK. Sedangkan persepsi siswa non-atlet yaitu siswa lebih menganggap PJOK merupakan mata pelajaran yang seru dan menjadikan semangat karena terdapat permainan dan situasi yang menyenangkan bagi siswa non-atlet. Terdapat banyak kendala yang dialami siswa atlet dan non-atlet pada saat pembelajaran yang belum terlihat oleh pendidik. Dapat ditemukan bahwa sebaiknya tim pendidik atau guru dapat mempertimbangkan persepsi siswa baik dari kategori siswa atlet dan non-atlet. Persepsi dapat menjadi masukan bagi seluruh pihak yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, dapat memberikan evaluasi untuk mengembangkan segala aspek dalam pembelajaran PJOK. Solusi setiap siswa harus dipertimbangkan untuk mencapai keberhasilan pembelajaran PJOK. The position of the PE subject in schools needs to be proven through scientific studies regarding the perceptions of student athletes and non-athletes towards the PE subject. A descriptive research with a survey design and interview technique has been conducted on 8 students, with 4 students from SMP N 7 and 4 students from SMP N 20 in Bandung. The interviews were conducted to gather opinions on student involvement, the learning environment, student motivation, the learning process, and teaching assessment related to the PE subject. Through data analysis using Nvivo12 software, it was found that there are still many inadequacies in the teaching of PE, including inadequate facilities, non-conducive learning environments, and insufficient understanding of the subject matter. On the other hand, the perception of non-athlete students is that they find PE an enjoyable subject, and it boosts their enthusiasm due to the presence of games and enjoyable situations. Both athlete and non-athlete students faced various challenges during the learning process that were not apparent to educators. It is recommended that the educational team or teachers take into consideration the perceptions of both athlete and non-athlete students. These perceptions can provide valuable input for all parties involved in the teaching process and serve as a basis for evaluating and improving all aspects of PE learning. Each student's individual needs should be taken into account to achieve success in teaching PE.
