Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan orientasi karier pada siswa SMA di Bandung. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan convience sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 355 siswa di Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua instrumen yaitu, Student Instrument for measuring Confidence in ‘Key Skills’ (SICKS) untuk mengukur kepercayaan diri dan Measure for Protean Career Orientation (MPCO) untuk mengukur orientasi karier. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan orientasi karier pada siswa SMA di Bandung. Korelasi positif menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi orientasi karier maka akan semakin tinggi kepercayaan diri, begitu pula sebaliknya. Kata kunci: Kepercayaan Diri, Orientasi Karier, Siswa SMA. This research was conducted to find out and analyze the relationship between self-confidence and career orientation in high school students in Bandung. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used convenience sampling with a total of 355 students in Bandung. This study uses two instruments, namely, Student Instrument for measuring Confidence in 'Key Skills' (SICKS) to measure self-confidence and Measure for Protean Career Orientation (MPCO) to measure career orientation. The results of the study prove that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence and career orientation in high school students in Bandung. The positive correlation indicates that the higher the career orientation, the higher the self-confidence, and vice versa. Keywords: Self Confidence, Career Orientation, High School Students.
