Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk model Argument of Society Commonsense Based Hybrid Learning (ASCBHL) yang valid dan teruji dalam meningkatkan level pemahaman materi fisika, level kemampuan berargumentasi serta kemampuan merancang eksperimen mahasiswa program Sarjana Pendidikan Fisika. Model ABCSCHL dikembangkan dengan metode Design and Development Research (DDR) Tipe 2. Model ASCBHL yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik: (a) berlandaskan teori belajar konstruktivisme-sosial; (b) menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri dan strategi kolaborasi; serta (c) memiliki sintaks, perangkat dan moda pembelajarannya sebagai berikut: 1) concept building terdiri atas reading infusion menggunakan Bahan Belajar Elektronik (online), dan enrichment (offline), 2) diskusi dan debat antar kelompok mengenai society commonsense (offline), 3) merancang eksperimen untuk membuktikan klaim kelompok (online) dan 4) melakukan eksperimen dan mempresentasinya dan ditutup dengan refleksi (offline). Implementasi model ASCBHL dilakukan terhadap 30 mahasiswa dengan perlakuan kontrol berupa perkuliahan tradisional yang juga diikuti oleh 30 mahasiswa. Level pemahaman materi fisika diukur dengan menggunakan tes level pemahaman materi fisika sedangkan level kemampuan berargumentasi diukur dengan menggunakan tes level berargumentasi. Peningkatan kedua level ini dihitung dengan menggunakan konsep N-Gain berdasarkan skor pretest dan postest. Kemampuan merancang eksperimen mahasiswa diidentifikasi menggunakan rubrik penskoran Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa Merancang Eksperimen untuk setiap pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model ASCBHL dapat meningkatkan level pemahaman materi fisika dengan kategori tinggi dan meningkatkan level kemampuan berargumentasi dengan kategori sedang. Peningkatan kedua hasil belajar ini secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas Tradisional. Implementasi model ASCBHL juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan merancang eksperimen dari satu pertemuan ke pertemuan berikutnya. Hasil-hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa produk ASCBHL memiliki potensi yang cukup baik untuk digunakan dalam perkuliahan Fisika Dasar yang berorientasi pada penanaman pemahaman materi fisika, pelatihan kemampuan berargumentasi serta pembekalan kemampuan merancang eksperimen. ABSTRACT: This study aims to produce a product of the Argument of Society Commonsense Based Hybrid Learning (ASCBHL) model that is valid and proven in increasing the level of understanding of physics content, the level of ability to argue and the ability to design experiments for students of the Bachelor of Physics Education program. The ABCSCHL model was developed using the Design and Development Research (DDR) Type 2 method. The developed ASCBHL model has the following characteristics: (a) based on social-constructivism learning theory; (b) using an inquiry approach and a collaborative strategy; and (c) having the following syntax, tools and learning modes: 1) concept building consisting of reading infusion using Electronic Learning Materials (online), and enrichment (offline), 2) discussion and debate between groups regarding society commonsense (offline), 3) designing experiments to prove group claims (online) and 4) conducting experiments and presenting them and closing with reflection (offline). The implementation of the ASCBHL model was carried out on 30 students with control treatment in the form of traditional lectures which were also attended by 30 students. The level of understanding of physics content is measured using a test of levels understanding of physics content while the level of argumentation ability is measured using an argumentation level test. The increase in these two levels is calculated using the N-Gain concept based on pretest and posttest scores. The ability students to design experiments was identified using the scoring rubric of the Student Worksheet Designing Experiments for each meeting. The results showed that the implementation of the ASCBHL model could increase the level of understanding of physics content in the high category and increase the level of argumentation ability in the medium category. The increase in these two learning outcomes is significantly higher than the Traditional class. Implementation of the ASCBHL model can also improve the ability to design experiments from one meeting to the next. These results indicate that ASCBHL products have good potential to be used in Basic Physics lectures that are oriented towards cultivating an understanding of physics content, training in argumentation skills and training in the ability to design experiments.
