Abstract

Pemahaman terkait pengasuhan tidak dapat diseragamkan berdasarkan standar teori dan praktik pengasuhan anak dari suatu teori tertentu. Terutama pada masyarakat Indonesia yang masih berpegang teguh pada falsafah, adat istiadat dan budaya setempat, salah satunya adalah masyarakat Suku Sunda di Kampung Adat Cireundeu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lanjutan dari preliminary research mengenai falsafah pengasuhan anak usia dini di Kampung Adat Cireundeu dengan metode studi kasus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi bentuk pengasuhan anak berdasarkan falsafah pengasuhan yang diyakini oleh masyarakat Kampung Adat Cireundeu. Peneliti menganalisis dan memaknai data menggunakan perspektif etnoparenting yang diharapkan memunculkan ciri khas pengasuhan di Cireundeu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode short-term ethnography, melibatkan 4 keluarga adat di Kampung Cireundeu (ibu, ayah, anak, kakek, nenek, dan keluarga besar lainnya yang terlibat). Pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan grounded theory dengan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu open coding, axial coding, dan selective coding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk implementasi falsafah pengasuhan tercermin dalam aktivitas sehari-hari, di mana pemikiran, peilaku, sikap, dan tindakan mengasuh anak dipengaruhi oleh ajaran sunda wiwitan. Mereka mengintegrasikan pengasuhan dengan aktivitas kebiasaan dan pola hidup, serta pengasuhan melibatkan keluarga besar dan masyarakat. Adapun penelitian ini berimplikasi terhadap peran tokoh masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah setempat untuk melestarikan pola pengasuhan anak melalui program-program pembinaan dan berkolaborasi antara masyarakat adat Cireundeu dan pemerintah daerah setempat. Understandings related to parenting cannot be standardized based on the standard theory and practice of childcare from a particular theory. Especially for Indonesian people who still adhere to local philosophy, customs and culture, one of which is the Sundanese people in the Cireundeu Traditional Village. This research is a continuation of preliminary research regarding the philosophy of early childhood care in the Cireundeu Traditional Village using the case study method. This study aims to determine the implementation of forms of childcare based on the parenting philosophy that is believed by the people of Cireundeu Traditional Village. Researchers analyze and interpret the data using an ethnoparenting perspective which is expected to bring out the characteristics of parenting in Cireundeu. This study used a qualitative approach with a short-term ethnography method, involving 4 traditional families in Cireundeu Village (mother, father, children, grandparents, and other extended families involved). Data collection using interviews, observations, and field notes. The data analysis technique uses grounded theory by going through three stages, namely open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results of the study show that the implementation of the parenting philosophy is reflected in daily activities, where thoughts, behaviors, attitudes, and parenting actions are influenced by Sundanese Wiwitan teachings. They integrate parenting with habitual activities and lifestyle, and care involves the extended family and community. This research has implications for the role of community leaders and the local regional government to preserve childcare patterns through fostering and collaborating programs between the Cireundeu indigenous people and the local regional government.
