Abstract

Peserta didik tunarungu menghadapi kesulitan dalam memahami konsep abstrak karena adanya hambatan pada pendengaran mereka, dan keterbatasan akses informasi sehingga hasil belajar mereka menjadi rendah. Pembelajaran matematika salah satu materinya geometri bangun datar memiliki konsep yang abstrak, sehingga anak tunarungu membutuhkan media yang berbasis visual. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media ular tangga three circle stack terhadap pembelajaran geometri bangun datar pada peserta didik tunarungu kelas III SDLB di SLB BC YPLAB Cibaduyut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode eksperimen dengan rancangan single subject research menggunakan desain A-B-A. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media ular tangga three circle stack berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap pembelajaran geometri bangun datar pada dua peserta didik tunarungu. Dibuktikan persentase mean level setiap subjek mengalami peningkatan. Subjek A, fase baseline-1 (A-1) sebesar 42,50%, fase intevensi (B) sebesar 81,67%, fase baseline-2 (A-2) sebesar 90% sedangkan mean level subjek S, fase baseline-1 (A-1) sebesar 35%, fase intervensi sebesar 75,83%, dan baseline-2 sebesar 85%. Rekomendasi untuk peneliti selanjutnya media ular tangga three circle stack dapat menjadi salah satu media alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak tunarungu dalam pembelajaran geometri bangun datar. Deaf students struggle to understand abstract concepts because of their hearing impairment and limited access to information, so their learning outcomes become low. In learning math, one of the materials is flat geometry, which has an abstract concept, so deaf children need visual-based media. This study aims to determine the effect of snakes and ladders media three circle stack on learning the geometry of flat shapes in deaf students in grade III SDLB in SLB BC YPLAB Cibaduyut. This study uses a quantitative approach, an experimental method with a single subject research design using an A-B-A design. The results showed that the Snakes and Ladders media three circle stack significantly influenced the learning of flat geometry in two deaf students. It is proven that the mean level percentage of each subject has increased. Subject A, baseline-1 phase (A-1) of 42.50%, intervention phase (B) of 81.67%, baseline-2 phase (A-2) of 90%, while the mean level of subject S, baseline-1 phase (A-1) of 35%, intervention phase of 75.83%, and baseline-2 of 85%. Recommendations for further researchers snake ladder media three circle stack can be one alternative media that can be used to increase the knowledge of deaf children in learning geometry flat shapes.
