    Abstract

    Fenomena ketimpangan sosial perbatasan sering menyebabkan lunturnya rasa
    nasionalisme yang dimiliki oleh penduduk daerah perbatasan , khususnya di Kalimantan
    Barat, hal ini terjadi karena penduduk perbatasan terdesak akan kebutuhan hidup,
    perasaan terabaikan oleh pemerintah karena sarana dan prasarana publik (pendidikan,
    kesehatan, perekonomia) tidak terpenuhi, keterjangkauan yang sangat jauh dengan pusat
    ibukota, harga komoditas pemenuh kebutuhan mahal, serta berbagai kemudahan yang
    ditawarkan negara tetangga dinilai lebih menggiurkan. Pada hakikatnya ketimpangan
    sosial terjadi akibat ketidak pahaman penduduk perbatasan dalam mengelola potensi
    wilayah. Pemahaman potensi wilayah bisa ditempuh melalui pendidikan, khususnya
    pendidikan karakter yang cocok dikembangkan diderah perbatasan dengan tujuan
    melahirkan sebuah cinta terhadap tanah airnya (negara asal). Pendidikan karakter bisa
    diwujudkan dalam perkuliahan di prodi pendidikan Geografi IKIP PGRI Pontianak,
    melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis potensi wilayah untuk meningkatkan
    cinta tanah air, yang diadopsi dari pengembangan beberapa model pembelajaran melalui
    penelitian yang telah dilakukan. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1)
    mendeskripsikan kondisi faktual perkuliahan di program studi pendidikan geografi IKIP
    PGRI Pontianak, 2) mengembangakan desain model pembelajaran berbasis potensi
    wilayah, 3) menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis potensi wilayah untuk
    menumbuhkan cinta tanah air. Metode yang digunakan yakni metode campuran (mix
    methode), dengan prosedur penelitian melalui tahapan : (1) studi pendahuluan, (2)
    pengembangan model, (3) pengujian model. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan:
    angket, lembar observasi, FGD, soal test, tugas (hasil diskusi) dan analisis dokumen.
    Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis kuantitaif menggunakan
    statistik deskriptif dan inferensial uji t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: 1) kondisi
    faktual perkuliahan diidentifikasi dari beberapa komponen pembelajaran: pembuatan dan
    penyampaian RPS, latar belakang pendidikan dan pengalaman dosen, pemilihan model
    pembelajaran dan media pembelajaran, penggunaan sumber belajar, pemanfaatan sarana
    dan prasarana perkuliahan dan pelaksanaan evaluasi. 2) desain model pembelajaran
    tervalidasi menjadi 6 komponen: (1) landasan teoritis, (2) sistem sosial, (3) prinsip reaksi,
    (4) perangkat pembelajaran yang ditunjang dengan materi mengenai potensi wilayah, (5)
    sintak terdiri dari 5 tahapan : (a) Initial determination, (b) Acquire and Integrate
    Knowledge, (c) Extended and Refine Knowlede, (d) Use Knowledge Meaningfully, dan (e)
    Habit of Mind, dan (6) dampak pengembangan. 3) efektivitas model pembelajaran
    berbasis potensi wilayah terbukti efektif (berpengaruh) terhadap peningkatan cinta tanah
    air, didukung dengan hasil uji t-test semua aspek cinta tanah air, nilai signifikan > 0,05.

    The phenomenon of social gap often cause the lose of the nationalism in the border area,
    especially in West Kalimantan. It happens because some of them pressed for living
    necessities, feelings of neglect by the government; public facilities and infrastructure
    (education, health, economy) which are not available. In addition, The affordability to
    reach of the capital city, expensive commodities, and the various conveniences offered by
    neighboring countries are considered more lucrative. In essence, social gap occurs due to
    the incomprehension of border residents in managing the potential of the region. To
    comprehend it, it can be achieved through education, especially the character education
    which suitable to developed in the border area with the purpose to build a patriotism .
    This character education can be realized in a lecture at the IKIP Geography education
    program PGRI Pontianak, through the implementation of a regional potential-based
    learning model to build the patriotism, adopted from the development of several learning
    models through research that has been done. Therefore , this study aims to: 1) describe
    the factual conditions of lectures in the geography education program of IKIP PGRI
    Pontianak, 2) develop a regional potential-based learning model design, 3) analyze the
    effectiveness of regional potential-based learning models to build patriotism. This study
    used is mixed method, with research procedure: (1) preliminary study, (2) model
    development, (3) model testing. Data collection techniques use: questionnaire,
    observation sheets, FGDs, sheet test, tasks (discussion results) and document analysis.
    Data analysis is conducted qualitatively and quantitatively. Quantitative analysis uses
    descriptive and inferential statistics of t-test tests. The research results show: 1) the
    factual conditions of the course are identified from several learning components: the
    establishing and delivering of lesson studi, educational background and lecturer’s
    experience, selecting of learning models and learning media, using of learning resources,
    utilization of lecture facilities and infrastructure and evaluation. 2) learning model design
    is validated into 6 components: (1) theoretical foundations, (2) social systems, (3)
    reaction principles, (4) material-supported by learning tools related to the potential areas,
    (5) syntactically consist of 5 stages: (a) Initial determination, (b) Acquire and Integrate
    Knowledge, (c) Extended and Refined Knowledge (c)These include: (e) Habit of Mind,
    and (6) developmental impacts. 3) The effectiveness of the region-based learning model
    to build patriotism proved effective and influential, which was strengthened by the t-test
    calculation from all aspects of patriotism with a significant value of > 0,05
