Abstract

Sepeda motor menjadi pilihan moda transportasi yang banyak digunakan di kalangan mahasiswa, termasuk di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Banyaknya sepeda motor yang parkir di Gedung Parkir Motor UPI, namun kurangnya manajemen dan pengawasan dari petugas parkir, menimbulkan masalah berupa penumpukan kendaraan dan parkir sembarangan di area parkir tersebut. Selain tidak efisien dari segi waktu dan bahan bakar, masalah ini juga akan meningkatkan potensi terjadinya kecelakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat rancang bangun purwarupa sistem parkir menggunakan RFID berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Sistem ini akan diterapkan untuk gedung parkir sepeda motor multilantai di UPI. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dimana terdapat palang parkir otomatis di pintu masuk dan keluar gerbang parkir utama dan di setiap lantai dengan melakukan pembacaan RFID. Pada area lintasan lalu lalang kendaraan juga akan dipasang sensor ultrasonik untuk mendeteksi keberadaan penghalang lintasan yang akan dikomunikasikan melalui Mikrokontroler ESP32 dengan memanfaatkan konektivitas Wi-Fi. Sebagaimana dari hasil percobaan, sistem dapat melakukan pemantauan parkir sepeda motor dengan memberikan informasi lahan parkir yang tersedia di setiap lantai, pengendara yang parkir sembarangan, dan keberadaan penghalang di area tanjakan lintasan pada website. Sistem ini juga memberikan tarif denda yang harus dibayar oleh pengendara motor yang parkir sembarangan sebagai sanksi untuk mengurangi perilaku parkir liar di dalam area parkir tersebut. Motorcycles are widely used as a preferred mode of transportation among students, including those at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). However, the increasing number of motorcycles parked in the UPI Motorcycle Parking Building coupled with inadequate management and supervision by parking attendants has been led to issues such as vehicle congestion and haphazard parking within the parking area. These problems not only result in inefficiencies in terms of time and fuel consumption but also pose a higher risk of accidents. To address these challenges, this research aims to develop a prototype parking system utilizing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology integrated with a Internet of Things (IoT). The proposed system will be implemented in a multi-level motorcycle parking building at UPI. The methodology employed in this study involves experimental procedures, including the installation of automated parking gates equipped with RFID readers at the entrance and exit of the main parking gate and on each level. Additionally, ultrasonic sensors will be strategically placed along the vehicle lanes to detect any obstacles. The data collected by the sensors will be communicated to the ESP32 Microcontroller, which will utilize Wi-Fi connectivity to transmit the information. The main objectives of this research are to provide real-time monitoring of motorcycle parking availability on each level, identify and penalize riders who engage in haphazard parking, and detect obstacles within the inclined paths. From the experiment, the results shows that this system provides information on available parking spaces on each level, identifies riders who engage in haphazard parking, and detects obstacles on inclined paths. Additionally, the system imposes fines on motorcycle riders who park haphazardly as a sanction to discourage illicit parking behavior within the parking area.
