Abstract

Kebugaran jasmani merupakan faktor penting bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan fisik, sosial, dan emosional siswa. Pengamatan penulis terhadap rendahnya tingkat kebugaran jasmani dan tingginya kasus penyimpangan perilaku sosial dan emosional siswa di sekolah menjadi latar belakang pembuatan skripsi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat kebugaran jasmani dengan kecerdasan emosional siswa, serta mengetahui hubungan tingkat kebugaran jasmani dengan kecerdasan sosial siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasi menggunakan metode Pearson Product Moment. Populasi penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh siswa laki-laki kelas V SDN 062 Ciujung Kota Bandung, sejumlah 60 siswa. Sampel diperoleh melalui teknik Probability Sampling menggunakan rumus Slovin, didapatkan sampel sebanyak 52 siswa. Instrumen penelitian meliputi Tes Kebugaran Jasmani Indonesia, serta kuesioner Trait Emotional Questionnaire-Short From Version 1.50, dan kuesioner Tromsø Social Intelligence Scale. Hasil uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment antara tingkat kebugaran jasmani dengan kecerdasan emosional diperoleh nilai Sig (2-tiled) 0.119 > 0.05 artinya tidak terdapat hubungan tingkat kebugaran jasmani dengan kecerdasan emosional siswa. Selanjutnya, hasil uji korelasi antara tingkat kebugaran jasmani dengan kecerdasan sosial diperoleh nilai Sig (2-tiled) 0.152 > 0.05 menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan tingkat kebugaran jasmani dengan kecerdasan sosial siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kebugaran jasmani tidak dapat menjadi faktor utama dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan sosial siswa. Terdapat faktor lain yang memiliki hubungan signifikan serta mempengaruhi perkembangan kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan sosial siswa. ; Physical fitness is an important factor for students' physical, social, and emotional growth and development. The author's observation of the low level of physical fitness and the high number of cases of deviations in social and emotional behavior of students at school is the background for this study. This study aimed to determine the relationship between physical fitness level and students' emotional intelligence as well as and to determining the relationship between physical fitness level and students' social intelligence. This research is a descriptive quantitative study with a correlation research design using the Pearson Product Moment method. The population of this study involved all male students of class V SDN 062 Ciujung Bandung City, totaling sixty students. The samples were obtained through the Probability Sampling technique using the Slovin formula, obtained a sample of fifty two students. The research instruments included the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test, as well as the Trait Emotional Questionnaire-Short From Version 1.50, and the Tromsø Social Intelligence Scale questionnaire. The results of the Pearson Product Moment correlation test between the level of physical fitness and emotional intelligence obtained a Sig (2-tiled) value of 0.119> 0.05, meaning that there is no relationship between the level of physical fitness and the emotional intelligence of students. Furthermore, the results of the correlation test between the level of physical fitness and social intelligence obtained a Sig (2-tiled) value of 0.152> 0.05, indicating that there is no relationship between the level of physical fitness and the social intelligence of students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the level of physical fitness cannot be the main factor in developing students' emotional intelligence and social intelligence. There are other factors that have a significant relationship and influence the development of emotional intelligence and social intelligence of students.
