Abstract
Fokus masalah penelitian ini berkaitan dengan belum optimalnya pengelolaan arsip di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh kompetensi pegawai terhadap efektivitas pengelolaan arsip dengan latar belakang pendidikan sebagai variabel kontrol di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Bandung. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut peneliti menggunakan metode survei, dengan menggunakan angket sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dan disebarkan kepada 45 responden yang merupakan populasi dalam penelitian ini. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara keseluruhan kompetensi pegawai berada pada kriteria cukup (3.18) dan apabila dilihat dari latar belakang pendidikan kearsipan tingkat kompetensi pegawai berada pada kriteria tinggi (3.57) dan untuk pegawai yang tidak memiliki latar belakang kearsipan berada pada kategori cukup (3.07). Sedangkan efektivitas pengelolaan arsip berada pada kriteria cukup efektif (3,27). Hasil analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada kompetensi pegawai terhadap efektivitas pengelolaan arsip. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of employee competence on the effectiveness of archive management with educational background as a control variable at the Bandung City Library and Archives Office. Based on these problems, researchers used a survey method, using a questionnaire as a data collection technique and distributed to 45 respondents who were the population in this study. Data analysis techniques using simple regression. The results showed that overall employee competence was in the sufficient criteria (3.18) and when viewed from the archival educational background the level of employee competence was in the high criteria (3.57) and for employees who did not have an archival background was in the sufficient category (3.07). While the effectiveness of archive management is in the criteria quite effective (3.27). The results of data analysis and hypothesis testing obtained the conclusion that there is a significant influence on employee competence on the effectiveness of archive management.
