Abstract

Anak tunarungu memiliki hambatan pendengaran yang kemudia berdampak pada proses komunikasi, bahasa, serta belajarnya. Dampak dari proses komunikasi ini akan berdampak juga dalam menyampaikan pesan baik lisan maupun kalimat seperti mengirimkan pesan. Mereka seringkali salah dalam menempatkan unsur kata dalam sebuah kalimat yang mengakibatkan penerima pesan suslit memahami apa yang disampaikan oleh mereka. Kasus seperti ini sama halnya dengan permasalahan yang dialami oleh peserta didik tunarungu di SLBN Cicendo tepatnya pada kelas VIIA1. Masih ada beberapa peserta didik tunarungu di SLBN Cicendo yang belum mampu menyusun kalimat subjek, predikat, objek, keterangan (SPOK) dengan benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media mind mapping game terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menyusun kalimat subjek, predikat, objek, keterangan (SPOK) pada peserta didik tunarungu kelas VIIA1 di SLBN Cicendo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eskperimen dengan desain one pre-test post-test. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa penggunaan media Mind Mapping Game ini dapat dilihat dari hasil perbandingan uji Wilcoxon pada skor pre-test dan post-test pada setiap aspeknya, yaitu pada aspek menentukan kata yang termasuk ke dalam unsur subjek, predikat, objek, keterangan (SPOK), menyusun kalimat subjek, predikat, objek, keterangan (SPOK) dan menentukan kalimat SPOK dengan benar. Deaf children have hearing impairments which then impact on their communication, language, and learning processes. The impact of this communication process will also have an impact on conveying messages both verbally and sentences such as sending messages. They are often wrong in placing word elements in a sentence which results in the recipient of the message suslit understand what is conveyed by them. Cases like this are the same as the problems experienced by deaf students at SLBN Cicendo, precisely in class VIIA1. There are still some deaf students at SLBN Cicendo who have not been able to compose SPOK sentences (subject, predicate, object, description) correctly. This study aims to determine the effect of using mind mapping game media on improving the ability to compose SPOK sentences (subject, predicate, object, description) in Deaf students in class VIIA1 at SLBN Cicendo. The method used in this research is experimental method with one pre-test post-test design. The results of this study state that the use of Mind Mapping Game media can be seen from the results of the Wilcoxon test comparison on the pre-test and post-test scores on each aspect, namely on the aspect of determining the words included in the SPOK element (subject, predicate, object, description), composing SPOK sentences (subject, predicate, object, description) and determining SPOK sentences correctly.
