Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pada penemuan hasil belajar siswa di sekolah dasar yang diduga masih rendah. Siswa kurang terlibat dalam penerapan model pembelajaran yang menyebabkan siswa kesulitan dalam mamahami pembelajaran khususnya dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS). Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Cooperative Learning Tipe Example Non Example terhadap hasil belajar siswa, mengetahui nilai awal dan nilai akhir siswa secara keseluruhan terhadap pembelajaran IPAS, serta memahami sejauhmana model example non example memiliki pengaruh bagi siswa yang memperoleh treatment model tersebut dan siswa yang memperoleh model konvensional. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah quasy experiment dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Desain ini memberikan kemampuan tes awal yaitu (Pretest) dan tes kemampuan akhir setelah diberikan treatment yaitu (Posttest) pada kedua kelas yang telah ditentukan. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV pada salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Purwakarta. Sampel yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas eksperimen 27 siswa dan kelas kontrol 28 siswa. Hasil data n-gain kelas eksperimen yang diperoleh menunjukkan skor rata-rata senilai 0,71 yang berada pada kategori tinggi dan n-gain kelas kontrol sebesar 0,59 berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil uji data korelasi model example non example dengan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki hubungan yang kuat yaitu R=0,412. Nilai R Square sebesar 0,170, jika dalam bentuk persen sama dengan 0,17% artinya memiliki pengaruh model example non example terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. ----- This research was motivated by the discovery of student learning outcomes in elementary schools which were allegedly still low. Students are less involed in the application of learning models that cause students difficulties in understanding learning, especially in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). Based on this, the purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the Cooperative Learning Model Type Example Non Example on student learning outcomes, find out the initial volue and final grade of students as a whole on IPAS learning, and understand the extent to which the example non example model has an influence on students who obtain the treatment model and students who obtain conventional models. The type of research used is a quasy experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. This design provides the initial test ability (Pretest) and the final ability test after treatment is given (Posttest) in both predetermined classes. The population of this study is grade IV students is one of the elementary schools in Purwakarta District. The samples that were the subjects in this study were an experimental class of 27 students and a control class of 28 students. The results of the experimental class n-gain data obtained showed an average score of 0.71 which was in the high category and the control class n-gain of 0.59 was in the medium category. The results of the data test correlate the example non example model with student learning outcomes that have a strong relationship, namely R=0.412. The R Square value of 0.170, if in percent form equal to 0.17%, means that it has the influence of the model example non example on the learning outcomes of grade IV elementary school students.
